What to Wear With Light Wash Jeans: 3 Relaxed Summer Outfits
Now that spring is here, I’ve tucked away my black jeans and moved my dark washes to one side. I’m making room in my closet for the newest trend: sun-bleached, light-wash jeans.
Today, I’m sharing 3 favorite styles of light-wash jeans that are fabulous. I also have a few ideas for what to wear with them to enhance their laid-back, casual California vibe.

Outfit #1 Wide-Leg Light Wash Jeans + Tee & Denim Jacket
You’ll find light-wash jeans in many styles, but one of the most popular are wide-leg. Some wide-leg jeans are more palazzo-style (really, really wide), while others, like this pair, are generally easier to wear.
I love the look of these high-waisted Faherty Flare Jeans, with their sporty patch pockets and near-white wash.
These jeans have an excellent fit. They start off snug across the tummy and hips and gently flare out to a very manageable width that looks great with your favorite sandals or sneakers. They’re soft, stretchy, and feel good.
I’ve played up this beachy look by adding this cute pink Calvin Klein tee with the snap front, a bright pink denim jacket, and white sneakers. This faux vegan woven leather bag tops off the easygoing look. ( See more about why I love these jeans here)

Outfit # 2 Skinny Light Wash Jeans + Blazer
Skinny jeans may have stepped out of the spotlight, but that doesn’t mean they have disappeared from fashion. In a light wash, they’re still a great style for summer.
I bought these Amazon Essentials Skinny light wash jeans and have worn them with a white slub tee and this chic hot pink oversized blazer.
A long, bright-colored blazer with light-wash jeans creates some interesting contrast and is a modern way to wear light-wash jeans.

Outfit # 3 Cropped Light Wash Jeans + a Pretty Blouse
Light-wash jeans are softer-looking and more feminine than darker washes. They look great with pretty, feminine tops and blouses. This beautiful Paris rose blouse, with its split neck and ruffle at the collar, is a great example of this.
I’ve paired it with another popular style of light-wash jeans – cropped flares. You can get these with a regular hem or this fringe hem. The fringe hem was vacation-like and boho for summer. ( More photos of these jeans here)
Which one of these outfits with light-wash jeans do you like best?
I love them all. But cropped is my very fave!
I LOVE that neutral boho top!!!!
