The Hero Piece – My Pink Blazer
When I want to look professional and pulled together, I always reach for a well-tailored jacket. A classy double- breasted one like this is my favorite style.
This gorgeous blazer has a strong, beautiful shape, regal gold buttons, and a great fit. I love how nice and lightweight it is for summer, being mostly cotton and a tiny bit of spandex.
The texture is beautiful – a fine weave with a polished finish. It’s upscale but casual, too – elegant but not stiff!
How to Style a Pink Blazer in Summer
# 1 Tone on Tone
A Monochromatic look (tone-on-tone) is one of the most elegant ways to style a fabulous blazer like this. To create this kind of look, wear the same color from top to bottom or slightly varying shades of the same color. This might sound boring, but the key to making a monochromatic look work is to vary the textures.
For example, I’m wearing the woven pink jacket with a silky satin finish tank top and smooth straight-leg pants. Textured + silky + smooth fabric together gives this monochromatic outfit interest and dimension.
Look #2 Style with a Modern Print
Another elegant way to style a pink jacket in summer is to mix in a print top like this ladylike bow-tie blouse. This sleeveless blouse has a classy, upscale look, but with no sleeves, it feels a little more relaxed. It also keeps you nice and cool in summer.
If you are going for a more formal style of a blouse like this, your print must look modern; otherwise, you will look dated. This beautiful shadow dot blouse is just different enough from a traditional dot blouse that it keeps it fresh and youthful.
Even without the jacket, it has a great look!
The other nice thing about this blouse is that with the black in the print, it will transition well into fall. Keep the blouse and jacket, but switch out the pink pants for black ones. Wear black closed-toe shoes or booties, and you are all set.
The pink jacket and blouse would also look fabulous with jeans for a more upscale casual look. It’s that easy!
