  1. Understated and elegant. I am reluctant to wear too much bling. It looks silly on more mature women, but all these ideas will work. Nice article.

  2. These ideas are fantastic – all of them are good. I also love the idea of the brooch at the waist of the simple black dress. o elegant.

  3. Hi Deborah!

Ooooh, I like the ‘classy yet sassy’ look of-of these Sparkle and Shine ideas. On a hot day at the local consignment boutique, I found two beautiful treasures in bright Velour fabric with lace and beading at the neckline. One is deep pink, and the other is sassy moss green. With plug necklines, I plan to wear them with a basic black tee and jeans. For a dre, iI ook: topa s, silk tee with a pair of black pants, or even a Velour skirt for the holidays. ~~ I felt like they were kind of over the top for me, so they were probably pretty good choices to liven up the fall/winter wardrobe. ;o)

    Thanks for some great ideas.

  4. Hi Deborah,

I live on the other side of the world where we only get two seasons: rain or shine – mostly shine! Glad that we don’t have to buy attire according to the seasons – they can be worn yearly.

I will recommend your sites to my girlfriends and relatives because your tips are still applicable no matter where we live!

  5. I love these examples. They are certainly a way to have a “wow” factor and can qualify as ageless classic items for the long haul.

  6. Another great post! I love it, and this moment confirms that I love your blog! I also get your newsletter, and I follow you on Twitter too!
