Perky, playful polka dots are trending this spring, and one of the best ways to wear them is with jeans. Today I’m partnering with Jodie’s Touch of Style to bring you two rockin’ polka dot looks.
If you haven’t met this lovely lady, Jodie is a retired cosmetic dentist who blogs with her 80+ mom, Charlotte, and her friend, Lesley. Funny enough, I only met Jodie this past Christmas when I bumped into her on a Caribbean cruise and recognized her immediately! Jodie loves to incorporate fun and sass into almost every outfit and, like me, believes that it’s never too late to look great!
Take a look at this bold, pink polka dot blouse I just picked up, and then hop on over to Jodie’s blog to see her cute polka dot look.
I seem to have a thing for polka dot blouses lately. Remember the stylish black polka dot top I shared a while back? This time I decided I go for a Pretty in Pink look.
I love wearing bright, warm colors, and this combination of hot pink with bright orange, black, and white dots really caught my eye.
My cute blouse is from the brand Not Your Daughter’s Jeans. They make great jeans, but did you know they also make fabulous blouses? In fact, I have the exact same blouse in a blue snakeskin print. This is a tunic style shirt with slide slits. It’s not too long, so you can tuck it in part, or all the way, or you can wear untucked without looking sloppy.
If you look closer, you will see that these are not your average polka dots. Unlike traditional dots that are uniform in size and evenly spaced, these are more of a spatter of dots or bubbles. I find they give the top a more artsy, modern look.
I picked up the black in the blouse and paired it up with these comfy, black Wit and Wisdom jeans. I find that wearing black with a pink polka dot blouse gives your outfit a more sophisticated look. White jeans would also look really great in the summer with this top.
Have you noticed that big chunky chain necklaces, like the one I am wearing, are trending? This one sold out fast, but I’m linking another below. I teamed my necklace up with chunky hoops and a bracelet with the same feel.
And of course, these black suede loafers are really chic too.
Here’s one last look at me rockin’ my pink polka dot blouse. Everything ( or close to it) is linked above.
