Styling a Sequin Tee for a Casual Glam Holiday Look!
Sequins!! They’re dazzling and festive and will never let you down when you want to add a little sizzle to an outfit.
While a dressy cocktail dress may not be in the cards this year, a cute sequin tee is a great way to put you in a party mood!
Look at how pretty this cute sparkly tee is with its simple scoop neck, short sleeves, and easy, relaxed cut. I think the color is fabulous. It’s a light gold/champagne color, which is super elegant and much easier to wear than straight gold or silver.
I’ve paired it here with this cozy, beige cable knit cardigan, a pair of velvet jeans and gold heeled booties. The tone-on-tone look on top is soothing and rich, and the mix of textures is an exciting combo I call snuggly meets shine.
Have you put your tree up? While we were shooting this, the shopping village we were at was putting up their tree, and I couldn’t resist getting in on the action – lol! That’s one heck of a Christmas tree!
….Back to the outfit – One last thing about this sparkly tee… I love it when I find great pieces like this that are true wardrobe staples.
This is a classic, and I know I will have it for years. It can be worn in so many ways, from pairing it with a satin pleated skirt and heels to wearing it with my favorite jeans, a blazer, and booties. The possibilities are endless. It’s a fun piece to play with.
I wanted to highlight the fabulous jewelry I picked for this outfit. Did you read my post on Dean Davidson? He is a Canadian jewelry designer whose jewelry is worn by Oprah, JLo, Meghan Markle, and more. I absolutely love it because it is so elegant and modern looking.
These are his Ipanema earrings ( all his jewelry is inspired by travel), and like all his jewelry, they have a brushed gold finish and are set with semi-precious gemstones. Go back to the top of this post and zoom in on the fabulous gold chain bracelet and the green amethyst cocktail ring I’m wearing. That Plaza ring is a knockout!
So there’s my homey but glam holiday party look. Dress up. It’s going to be a wonderful Christmas! xo Deb
