I used to like to wear jeans with heels, but I prefer a comfortable pair of statement sneakers or flats these days. That’s the reason I have fallen in love with side stripe jeans. (similar)
My new side-stripe jeans with the frayed hem are sporty, edgy, and modern, plus they have an added benefit. The stripes create the illusion of longer, leaner legs!
Let me tell you more about my jeans. First off, they have a feminine, vintage-inspired indigo wash that has been hand sanded and brushed to get the perfect color. It’s called Mojave Dusk.
Next, the reverse denim side panel creates a nice, thick stripe right down the side that I love! Not only does it add some great texture, but notice how your eye is drawn up and down the length of the stripe.
A side stripe creates a continuous, slimming line that makes your legs go on for miles, even when wearing flats or sneakers. That’s a bonus, significantly cropped jeans that also make your legs look shorter.
Paired with a simple tee and a white jean jacket, this is a great look when you want to be casual but stylish.
You don’t want to wear anything too busy up top with these jeans. The stripes on the side are the focal point, and you want to keep it that way.
I wear a simple, cheerful orange Eileen Fisher tee and jeans. I always love a pop of color. It’s very youthful.
The great thing about this Eileen Fisher tee is the quality; you can feel it. Plus, the sleeves are the perfect length. They’re short, but not so short that they stop in the middle of your upper arm, which depending on your arms, isn’t always so attractive. I like the look of this long sleeve on me.
See how great these cropped jeans look with the frayed step hem? I’m not one for jeans all torn up at the thigh and knee. This is just enough distress for me.
Here’s the look again…perfect for just walking around, having a lazy day, and enjoying summer!
It’s incredible how something as simple as a new pair of jeans can make you feel so fresh and modern and make your legs look great! If you like this look, why don’t you give it a try?
