How to Style a Green Suede Moto Jacket
An easy way to tweak your chic and add a youthful edge is to wear a moto jacket.
Today I’m pleased to be partnering with Nordstrom to bring you a look at one of the nicest moto jackets I’ve seen in quite a while and a modern idea for how to style it.
Nordstrom is known for its fantastic selection of women’s coats, jackets, and outerwear. One of their best sellers is the moto jacket. Moto jackets have been going strong for a few years, which is no surprise. They’re casual and sporty and they look good with everything from jeans to dresses. It’s hard to get tired of this style, especially when it keeps getting reinvented in so many chic ways. This beautiful green suede moto jacket is an excellent example of that.
This luxurious green moto jacket from BlancNYC is an absolute stunner. It’s got so much going for it. First, it has an excellent, crisp cut, which helps give softer, rounder 40+ bodies some lovely sharp, slimming angles. Second, the color is stunning! That deep forest green is this year’s “it” color in fashion. To me, it oozes class and richness.
And finally, that gorgeous suede is ultra-soft and luxurious. Touching this jacket is like stroking a sleek, velvet cushion!
See how nicely the jacket fits across the shoulders and back? There are so many leather moto jackets around that it’s nice to see suede instead. I love the texture that suede adds to an outfit.
Today I’m wearing my green motorcycle jacket with a fresh white turtleneck, black leggings, and these cool over-the-knee boots you’ve probably seen me wear in other posts lately. I like this comfy, sleek look.
My bubble sweater is beautiful. Here’s a good style recipe to keep in mind. When you want to wear something a little edgy like a moto jacket, but you still want to look soft, keep your top on the feminine side. This cozy turtleneck is light and airy and is more dainty than a thick, heavy ribbed turtleneck.
And I love the collar; You don’t fold it, you scrunch it down a touch. So modern!
I’m also crazy about how the white sweater pops against the green and makes it look even greener. See how good it looks peeking out below the jacket a couple of inches? You can wear untucked or tuck one corner of the sweater into your waistband- a half tuck look.
Black jeans or Ponte leggings worn with suede over-the-knee boots give the outfit a moto-lite or lady-moto look, as I call it!
I just wanted to give you a back view of these over-the-knee boots. Lace-up…a lot of fun and fantastic for gals with larger calves because that back is all stretch! Over-the-knee boots or any boot work so well with the modern biker vibe.

Accent with a bag of your choice- nothing stiff or structured, though. I’m into burgundy this fall, which looks great alongside my green moto jacket. To get an even closer view of my jacket and shop my entire outfit, click the links above to Shop the Post.

I love both of these looks! That green moto jacket is fantastic, and I also love how you styled this red jacket. I like how you describe the clothes too!!
Thank you so much for this inspiring, pretty outfit! I have a leather olive green moto jacket very similar to yours and have been wondering how to style its awkward outdoor length for a long time. Your post answers my question. It’s hard to copy the boot part if one doesn’t own over-the-knee boots because I don’t know if the same can be achieved with knee highs. But I retain the leggings + bulky sweater’s rigid cowl neck. Also, it’s not too long (it doesn’t fall too far on the thighs) but long enough to layer with a jacket. I also wonder if this would work with harem-style pants and short booties.
Hi Marie, Glad you liked the outfit. You could wear a top with a moto jacket and harem pants, but I wouldn’t style it with the turtleneck sweater. It feels too heavy to be styled with such light, loose flowy pants. Maybe styles with a tee under the jacket would be better to balance things. Here’s a photo. It’s much more of a creative look with harem pants:https://i.pinimg.com/736x/14/8c/ea/148ceaa864102a5fab479e2b25a890f8–jogger-pants-harem-pants.jpg.
