  1. First of all, I am so sorry you lost your mother, and you and your family are in my prayers. These are wonderful posts, and I bought things from Loft, Ann Taylor, Talbots, and Chicos. I couldn’t resist those fur trimmed gloves and pants from Chicos, three wreath brooches and the Christmas pillow from Talbots, pants from Loft and Ann Taylor. So many beautiful offerings this year from all of the retailers! Have a Happy New 2026!

  2. Hi, Deborah! Thanks for the lovely Talbots links! Just wanted to say that I ordered the gorgeous green sequin skirt. It is beautiful! It does run at least a size too large. My usual size in skirts is 0Petite and it was too large. I thought your readers might want to know.

    1. Hi Debra,
Ow wow, I love that green skirt!! It’s such as classy look and the color is gorgeous. Thanks for letting us know about the sizing. What are you going to wear it with?

    1. Hi Bonnie. Sounds great! I love Talbots too because they have lots of colors, the latest styles that are classic/classy with a modern twist, and they always are having very good sales. It makes having a nice wardrobe affordable and fun! Have a wonderful holiday!

  3. I just lucked up early this morning with Talbots have 6o percent plus 2o percent off a sweater that is half cotton in a gorgeous green color so jumped on it. I love Talbots even though 0P is not in store here. I just order online and return here if doesn’t work. Easy and beautiful clothing when petite.

    1. Hi Bonnie! That’s the thing about Talbots. Not only do they have great sales, but they do petites which so many of my readers need. It’s great when a brand recognizes the importance of fit, cares and delivers!

  4. Deborah,

I went to Talbot’s to see what I could get with the current sale. I tried the wide-leg silhouette, but it just doesn’t work for me. I’m too petite, and I just swam in them. That was disappointing because the pair I tried was a pretty turquoise linen. Ah well. I also checked out the seafoam green denim color, but I was right; it was too light for my complexion. So that was also a no-go. However, the third try was a charm. I found a nice pair of shorts in a moss green. They looked great on me, and I loved the color! They were a great purchase. Cheers!

    1. Hi Carolyn! Yes, the wide-leg are tricky to wear, even for me, and I’m 5’7″. The key is to find a pair that are fitted across the hips and don’t have too wide of a flare. I’m so glad you got a pair of shorts, at least. That sale was too good to miss. All the best! Cheers, Deb
