If you’ve been following along on the blog lately, you may have noticed I’ve been trying on quite a few spring pieces from Talbots—and bringing a few of them home with me.
Well, guess what? Many of those pieces are now part of Talbots’ Spring Style Event, where everything is 25% off.
So if you had your eye on something I showed recently, now is a great time to grab it. Here are a few of the pieces I bought or tried on that are now on sale.

Talbots Printed Shirt Dress
This red printed shirt dress is one of my favorite finds from Talbots this spring. The cheerful print and classic shirt styling make it feel polished but still easy and relaxed. I especially love the tie waist and pockets, which give it shape without feeling fussy. It’s the kind of dress you can wear to lunch, church, or a spring event and look instantly pulled together with just a pair of simple sandals or low heels.

Talbots Floral Embroidered Sweater
This floral embroidered sweater is a beautiful way to add interest to a classic black-and-white outfit. I layered it over a crisp white shirt and paired it with slim black pants for a look that’s polished, flattering, and easy to wear at any age. The embroidery adds a little personality to the sweater, while the dark background keeps it sophisticated. It’s a great example of how a simple outfit can look special with just one standout piece.

Talbots Red Denim Jacket Outfit
This bright red denim jacket is such a fun way to wake up a simple jeans outfit. The color instantly adds energy, while the classic styling keeps it timeless and easy to wear. I layered it over a striped tee and slim jeans for a casual look that’s perfect for travel days, errands, or weekend outings. It’s proof that one bold piece can completely transform a basic outfit.

This is a great example of how a few classic pieces can come together to create a fresh, modern outfit. The navy utility jacket adds structure, while the blue striped shirt keeps the look crisp and timeless. Paired with straight-leg jeans and comfortable sneakers, it’s an easy, everyday outfit that feels polished yet relaxed—perfect for running errands, casual outings, or travel days.

Hi, Deborah! Thanks for the lovely Talbots links! Just wanted to say that I ordered the gorgeous green sequin skirt. It is beautiful! It does run at least a size too large. My usual size in skirts is 0Petite and it was too large. I thought your readers might want to know.
Hi Debra,
Ow wow, I love that green skirt!! It’s such as classy look and the color is gorgeous. Thanks for letting us know about the sizing. What are you going to wear it with?
I just ordered this morning a cotton blend cute green sweater in Petite that was a steal of a deal! Love Talbots!
Hi Bonnie. Sounds great! I love Talbots too because they have lots of colors, the latest styles that are classic/classy with a modern twist, and they always are having very good sales. It makes having a nice wardrobe affordable and fun! Have a wonderful holiday!
I just lucked up early this morning with Talbots have 6o percent plus 2o percent off a sweater that is half cotton in a gorgeous green color so jumped on it. I love Talbots even though 0P is not in store here. I just order online and return here if doesn’t work. Easy and beautiful clothing when petite.
Hi Bonnie! That’s the thing about Talbots. Not only do they have great sales, but they do petites which so many of my readers need. It’s great when a brand recognizes the importance of fit, cares and delivers!
Deborah,
I went to Talbot’s to see what I could get with the current sale. I tried the wide-leg silhouette, but it just doesn’t work for me. I’m too petite, and I just swam in them. That was disappointing because the pair I tried was a pretty turquoise linen. Ah well. I also checked out the seafoam green denim color, but I was right; it was too light for my complexion. So that was also a no-go. However, the third try was a charm. I found a nice pair of shorts in a moss green. They looked great on me, and I loved the color! They were a great purchase. Cheers!
Hi Carolyn! Yes, the wide-leg are tricky to wear, even for me, and I’m 5’7″. The key is to find a pair that are fitted across the hips and don’t have too wide of a flare. I’m so glad you got a pair of shorts, at least. That sale was too good to miss. All the best! Cheers, Deb
