Top Ten Best Sellers for March

Last month in February’s best sellers, we started to see the shift from winter to spring clothes. There was a little bit of everything from dresses to jackets to sweaters. For January, sweaters and dresses were very popular. So, whether you are looking for a pretty dress for Easter or something to wear on your tropical vacation, take a look at what the Fabulous After 40 readers loved last month.

1. Eyelet Shirtdress

This eyelet shirtdress with puff sleeves was a big hit! It’s no surprise because this pretty shade of pink is the perfect shade for spring. This would be a beautiful choice for Easter or a bridal or baby shower. Be sure to check out more outfit ideas for a baby shower.

2. Striped Boatneck Tee

Summer is coming, and this nautical-inspired striped boatneck tee makes a wonderful addition to your casual summer wardrobe. It also comes in red stripes, but it’s such a great price that you can buy it in both colors.

3. Fern Print Cotton Blend Sweater

If you’re not quite ready to leave behind winter’s dark, moody colors but want a touch of spring, this fern print sweater is a great choice. Neutral tones and a botanical print are a classy combination for transitional dressing. For more lightweight sweaters for spring and summer, check out this post.

4. White Cropped Pull-On Pants

These versatile cropped pull-on pants come in five colors, but I love how the white pair have a nice, sleek, modern cut, and and are super comfortable – stretchy but not tight. I’ve paired them with gold kitten heel slide sandals, but you could also wear them casually with flat sandals and a cute summer tee. Check out this post for more spring fashions from Macy’s.

5. Floral Print Wide-Leg Pants

Here’s another pair of pants that can be easily dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. These floral print wide-leg pants have a drawstring waist and a flattering wide-leg to suit any body type. If you’re looking for more wide-leg pants for vacation or for lounging, visit this post.

6. Eyelet Beach Coverup Shirt

We’re seeing a trend towards oversized button-down shirts instead of dresses for the beach and pool. This lace eyelet shirt cover-up has plenty of details and is easily packable. I adore the dainty embroidery mixed with the crisp white-hot summer look of a tailored shirt.

7. Faux Wrap One-Piece Swimsuit

This faux wrap swimsuit has everything I need to look great and feel confident at the beach. The wrap style is universally flattering since it enhances an hourglass shape or creates one if you don’t have one. Check out classy swimsuits for women over 50 here.

8. Off-The-Shoulder Top

So many of you loved my post on how to rock an off-the-shoulder tops, and this side tie hem off the shoulder top was a winner! This is a really cute top that helps highlight your waist, and I love the romantic feel of it too.

9. Embellished Side Drape Formal Gown

It’s wedding season, and many of you have mother of the bride dresses on your minds and checklists. My embellished side drape gown was a favorite among future mothers of the bride and groom. If you purchase this dress, you will not be disappointed. This one is a stunner, and the flattering fit will have all eyes on you (after the bride, of course!). Don’t miss these five Mother of the Bride dress trends.

10. A-Line Crochet Dress

Spring is here, and many of you are well-prepared because you bought this ruffle sleeve a-line crochet dress. This scalloped hem dress is a head turner and has a polished boho vibe.

  1. I’m looking for ideas for long-sleeve tops and sweaters with the Talbots teal satin skirt. It’s a beautiful skirt, and I know I can wear it with black, cream, or winter white—as well as similar teal colors from Talbots. (Talbots sweaters are too long on me, so those won’t work. Their button-down blouse in a similar color is beautiful, but I’m not sure about a button-down.) I’m open to things from other companies.

    1. Hi Dee Dee, First off, congrats on your purchase. That teal satin skirt is truly stunning, and here’s what I would wear it with. I love satin and cashmere so that I would wear a long-sleeved crew neck or V-neck cashmere sweater in white or off-white. Then I would accessorize with silver, which makes teal look amazing and is very on-trend this year. I love this choice for Fall and the holiday season. Teal is such a rich color, and combined with white and silver, it is very classy and modern. Check out Quince for an inexpensive cashmere. Banana Republic also has great cashmere, although more expensive, and Nordstrom usually has a good selection. You say Talbot sweaters are too long on you. Do you need a petite size? They do sell petites. Thanks for popping by. Cheers, Deborah
