If you’re planning a beach getaway anytime soon and you’re wondering what to wear in the sun and sand, here are a few good ideas.
1. Choose a Swimsuit that Camouflages Problem Areas
A beach vacation is so much more enjoyable when you feel you’re looking hot! This sleek black swimsuit helps camouflage problem spots in a couple of ways:
1) A solid colored swimsuit in a dark color visually shrinks your body.
2) Floral blocked sides carve out a waist and make you look slim.
The other nice thing about this swimsuit? It has a sexy sheer neckline that adds instant glamour and more shape to your bustline.
2. Pay Attention to Your Beachwear Cover-Up
When it comes to beachwear, beach cover-ups are just important as swimwear. Throwing on a baggy t-shirt or unattractive top will make you feel and look frumpy. Try to find a beach coverup that has the same style personality as your swimsuit.
If you are going with a boho-inspired swimsuit with lots of fringe, choose a boho style poncho in a natural fabric to go with it. Prefer a swimsuit with an exotic tropical print, then think about pairing it up with a sexy sarong.

3. Don’t Forget Your Hat
Protect your skin and boost your style with a big floppy beach hat. It’s also really important for your hair. An hour in the scorching sun and your hair can get totally fried.
4. Choose a Pretty Sandal
You’ve gone to all that work to get a nice pedicure, now show it off with a pretty pair of flats. A sandal with a sparkly bow or beading gives you that poolside glam. Don’t forget a great bag. You can never go wrong with straw or rattan.

4. Sunglasses Add Style
One of the most stylish beachwear accessories for women is a great pair of sunglasses. For guaranteed glam, go big or go home! Oversize is always in style.

Nice swimsuits for those women who want to enjoy on the beach in summer days. Nice blog post!
Where can you buy black swimsuit with coloured side sections?
Hi Hilary, Here is the link to that cute suit:http://rstyle.me/n/cprhp9b52f7
I don’t think anyone feels “great” at the beach! ?…regarding what we are wearing that is! The main thing is to be and feel confident with yourself. That will exuberate outward—you can have any swimsuit on and rock it!! Heck, what about a thong bikini? ? Lol. I’ll pass, but, go for it!!!
What can I wear for a full length picture ? I am a teacher and would like to look good in the class photo!
Hi Liz,
I think a nice dress with a low-medium heel is always nice if you are going to be standing. Just stay away from black colors that could wash you out and don’t forget some blush, mascara, and lipstick. They make a big difference in photos. Cheers, Deborah
Hi I love your information and your style ideas. I am 58, average size and I’m looking for new jeans, but I struggle with picking out the right ones. I am 5 foot five and weigh 190. I Call it muscle. I do not have an idea what type of pant to buy and I am terrible at dressing myself! Very out of date ideas and styles in my closet. Of course my poor budget prevails. Do you have any ideas for me?? Thank you so much I really do love your blog and great website information and style focus and healthy looking women that you Continue to support for all of us.
Hi Catherine, Thanks for your encouragement. It’s hard to know what to recommend as I’m not clear on where you carry your weight. Is it mainly your tummy and your legs are slim or do you carry your weight in your thighs, or it is mainly in your bottom? Would you say your body is curvy full hourglass, pear shaped with most weight in hips and thighs, inverted triangle with weight up at bust and slim legs, or rectangular-no waist and solid up and down?
Isn’t it so hard to figure out what to wear to the beach?! It has to be practical but at the same time you have to look and feel AMAZING :)
