Jeweled Sweaters that Put the Sparkle in Christmas

Even after my tree is up and I’ve decked the halls, it still doesn’t feel like the holidays until I’ve bought something sparkly and festive to wear.

Today, I’m sharing a jewel-embellished sweater that is already bringing me a whole lot of Christmas cheer, plus a few more that are trending for the holidays.

Clothes can do wonders to put you in a happy mood at Christmas or party time. An embellished sweater dazzles and sends the message, ” I’m ready to celebrate!”

Sweaters with pearls, rhinestones, and sequins look magical under the twinkling lights of a Christmas tree. Jewels and crystals arranged in pretty floral or geometric patterns kick it up a notch.

With a jeweled sweater, all you need is a pair of interesting jeans (these are gray with a side stripe), suede booties, and some shiny gold and crystal Kendra Scott earrings.

Or, for a chic holiday look, dress up your jeweled sweater with wide-leg flare pants or a pretty satin skirt.

Caring for a Sweater With Crystals

I know many gals worry about how you care for a jeweled sweater without wrecking the crystals.  They look delicate, and they are usually just sewn on.

I took one of my jeweled sweaters to the dry cleaner once, and they destroyed the crystals! I won’t do that again.

Now, I simply turn my sweater inside out, hand wash, or wash it in the machine in lukewarm water in the machine with mild soap using the delicate setting. Then, I lay the sweater flat on a towel and gently roll the towel to ring out the sweater.  That seems to work for me!

(And remember you really don’t need to wash it as much as you think. Hang it and air it to help).
