You might be wondering…

Is Zebra Print in Style?

Animal prints are always in style because they add a cool edge to your wardrobe. However, it’s been leopard, leopard, leopard for a long time now, and that’s getting a bit tired. Zebra print is the new trend, but that doesn’t have to mean black and white. Tan/Taupe combined with black in the classic zebra pattern is a modern color mix.

I own a silky, two-tone taupe Zebra top I wear all the time, and now this. The warm tan with the black works well with my coloring and feels more sophisticated and less flashy than true zebra print colors.

Here’s what else makes this fabulous Zebra print dress look on-trend.

Animal Print Shirtdress

The tide is turning, and women want to get out of loungewear and back into dresses. But they want comfy, casual, polished dresses. This is one of the reasons I have seen so many excellent animal print shirtdresses ( I also own a snake print one) and shirtdresses in general.

Remember the pretty pink floral shirt dress I wore in the spring? It was a huge hit. This Zebra print shirtdress has a similar fit and flare shape. It’s a nice change from the classic menswear-inspired shirtdresses we’re used to seeing that are straight up and down. This one nips in at the waist with a belt and is a very figure-flattering silhouette.

Zebra Midi Dress

Another thing that feels fresh about this dress is the Midi length. Lady-like midi-length dresses continue to grow in popularity. That’s great news for mature gals because many of us want more leg coverage but don’t want to resort to a maxi.

Great Year-round Dress

Prices are soaring. We want more for our dollar, and dresses like this are very satisfying since you can wear this year round. This is a fabulous transitional dress to wear now from summer to fall. Add a long cardigan, blazer, or leather jacket, and some great boots when it cools down in a couple of months.

Accessories Make it Fun.

A few accessories add a lot to any dress; with this print, you can have fun. I decided on some playful statement earrings, a beaded bracelet, and a pair of oversized square sunglasses, which are hot right now.

My gold wedge sandals are my new favorite shoe- comfy and a little glamorous!

  1. You look Fabulous, girl! Keep up the great work. Whatever you are doing is working!
I Love your blog and your dog!

  2. I love that dress on you! I would wear it too. Sometimes Talbots gets a little too conservative for my taste, but being petite; I have to shop where I can find things to fit. I was in the store the other day, and the tops I couldn’t find online were hanging in the store, so I quickly snatched them up. That dress, as you said, could be worn a million ways & I love that it is sassy! You look fantastic!

It's your life. Make it Fabulous!
