5 Cute Spring Outfit Ideas with Casual Pants
I live in dark denim, black jeans, and leggings in the winter, but now spring is here, I’m dying to step into some of the latest styles of casual pants. From utility pants to chinos, cropped wide legs, and flares, there’s so much to choose from! Here are 5 cute spring outfit ideas with casual pants that are easy, relaxed, and on-trend.
1. Spanx Twill Cropped Wide Leg Pants
Cropped Wide leg pants have never been more popular, and these are my favorite pair. These are the Spanx Twill Cropped Wide Leg Pants I introduced to you last year in pink. This spring, they’ve come out in a few new colors, including Bronze Glow. What I love about them is they fit snuggly across your stomach and hips and then flare out to the perfect hem width.
They have that famous Spanx built-in tummy technology to hold in your belly, and they are stretchy and super comfy. They’re just the perfect length – cropped, but not so high above your ankle that they look like floods! I’m wearing them with a heel here, but they also look fabulous with slides. Check out the pockets on the back by clicking the link below. These jeans have a booty-lifting effect, and the cute pockets are perfectly placed to help with that too.
I’m wearing these with a surprisingly, very comfy, thong bodysuit. It’s ribbed and so soft. I’ve paired the outfit with this Air Essentials crew sweatshirt. If you haven’t tried the Air Essentials line, you should! It’s as light as air and super silky, like a nightie! I love this pink and how it looks with the black and rust. Such a modern color combo!

2. High Waisted Slim Leg Cargo Pants
I became a fan of high waisted slim leg cargo pants when they were first introduced last spring. They seem to be popping up everywhere now. These are chic. They have those big utilitarian flap pockets and a nice slim leg, which is a flattering change to the bulky, wide cargos. This “drab olive” color, as it is often called is trending, and I think it’s a nice change from that army green we usually see.

3. Cropped Straight Leg Cargo Pants
If cropped, wide-leg pants don’t suit you, why not try a cropped, straight-leg pair? These military-inspired chinos are great for travel when it’s hot, and you are doing a lot of siteseeing. The tan color is lovely, and I like the attention to detail with the straps at the ankles. Navy and camel is a great transition color combo. Wear it with white sneakers and a bag for a relaxed spring look.

4. Paperbag Waist Chinos
Paperbag waist pants can be a nightmare if you have a belly because they emphasize the bulge, but if you are just thick around the middle, these pants are great. The cute tie waist draws the eye inward, accenting an hourglass shape or creating a waist when yours has spread out a bit! I’ve kept the look simple, combining other neutrals, like this white linen top, for a casual, contemporary summer look.

5. Classic, Straight Leg White Jeans
I can’t get through the summer without at least one pair of crisp, white jeans. This year I’m going for straight-leg jeans which are sleek like skinny but more relaxed these days. Add a pretty floral blouse and some navy rope sandals. A quilted leather bag adds some great texture.

LOOVVVEEEEE the spandex pants and ordered them in cedar! And the paper bag waist chinos…the details and cut are lovely but too expensive for me. Thanks for the great ideas!
Cheryl, I’m crazy about that cedar shade too! It so unique. I want a pair of white ones too. When pants work for me I buy a few!
