4 Affordable Spring Looks That are Right on Trend!
Many of you have been asking for me to put together some stylish spring outfits that are casual, on-trend, and reasonably priced. So I popped on over to Walmart and found some really cute things! Here’s a look at some new key pieces, and how to build a great themed look around them.
1. Safari Style
It’s a fashion jungle out there and with anything goes these days, which is why it’s sometimes hard to know what to wear to look modern and with it. What I can tell you is, that you can’t go wrong with a Safari look. Safari style is classic, and it’s back in the spotlight in a big way this summer.
Walmart has some fabulous, good-quality safari pieces like these sporty, olive, cropped cargo pants. What great-looking pants from their EV1 Collection that they have partnered with Ellen DeGeneres on!
Even better is this cute Time and Tru cropped cargo jacket. This is really original, and so practical for now right into summer. I’ve paired these two pieces with a super cute twisty tee, a darling snake print bag, and some comfy slides. Add some big hoop earrings, and you are all set. This is a very pulled-together casual look that you can wear shopping, going to appointments, or on the weekends.
2. Wrap Dresses
You know how I love wrap dresses! They’re always feminine, and super figure-flattering, and you can wear them just about everywhere. This spring, Walmart Fashion. has all kinds from soft and stretchy to crisp cotton styles.
I love a crisp, airy dress come spring, and this blue pinstripe wrap dress is so sporty and chic. It’s casual enough that you can wear it with slides and a summery white bag or if you want to dress it up a bit, slip on some high sandals and add a touch of jewelry.
What I really like about this light sundress is that it has sleeves, which is so hard to find in a summer dress. You can wear the dress as is, or I like the idea of rolling up those sleeves just a touch to create a sporty 3/4 length, and then throw on a couple of bracelets.
I’m partial to the stripes, but this also comes in some pretty floral prints. This pretty, practical dress is a no-brainer. It’s perfect for weekends, or pop it in your suitcase when you go on vacation this summer.
3. Tie-Dye
The 70’s vibe is always a fun look once the warm weather arrives, and one of the ways to get it is with a touch of tie-dye. Tie-dye pants, tops, and jackets are trending, but if you are like me and feel like less is more then, take a look at this lovely yellow tie-dye scarf I found.
Yellow is a hot color this summer. I love the way this yellow tie-dye scarf adds a healthy, cheery glow to this perky all-white outfit. The cropped bootcut jeans, from Walmart’s popular Sofia Vergara collection, are a perfect summer staple because they can be worn with anything in your closet. I especially love them with this relaxed twist tie top because it creates a beautiful sleek backdrop for this gorgeous scarf to shine.
Flatform sandals with rope wedges are super comfy, and this round snake print bag adds a cool, modern edge.
4. Strappy Sandals
Did you know that shoes are the easiest way to update an outfit? This spring, strappy sandals are all the rage, and I have found a pair that look sexy and chic but are practical too. These tan city sandals with chunky, easy-to-walk-in heels will make any pair of jeans and a cute top look fabulous. I like this neutral tone because it goes with everything, but they also come in black and the prettiest rose gold.
Here, I’ve teamed them up with the pretty pink Time and Tru top with the trendy square neckline, bell sleeves, and cute cutout detail. Add a pair of comfy jeans, a soft, casual shoulder bag, and some fun earrings, and you have a bright and pretty springtime outfit that doesn’t break the bank.
To shop these and more of the latest spring trends, click the shop links in this post and visit Walmart online to see what’s new. They’re stocked up right now with lots of sizes, but since it’s hard to find decent quality at good prices, be sure to get over there soon to take a peek before the spring buying frenzy begins!
Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post.
THANK YOU for posting bargain shopping tips! I love fashion blogs but get frustrated when the only suggestions are from high-end department stores that I can’t afford. I loved everything in this post!
So glad you like it, Karen. I agree that I’m trying to show a range of price points, and these budget finds are great.
