Best Long Tops For White Jeans to Hide Your Belly
There’s nothing fresher or more effortlessly chic in spring than a pair of bright white jeans. But let’s be honest—if you’re carrying a few extra menopausal pounds around your middle or hips (and who isn’t), slipping into white denim can feel a little intimidating. Light colors tend to draw attention to curves, lumps, and bumps, but is that a good enough reason to avoid white jeans? … Heck, no!
Pretty in Pink! One of my favorite long tops for white jeans
The trick is to find the right top and style it in a flattering way. And here’s the secret, your top doesn’t have to be short, cropped or clingy, and you don’t have to tuck in to look fabulous.
Today I’m sharing some classy, casual long tops that will give you just the right amount of coverage where you want it most.
Best Long Summer Tops to Wear with White Jeans
Long tops are the obvious solution when you want wear white jeans and hide your tummy or heavy bottom. The only problem is (and let me know if you’ve found the same), many of these tops are pretty, darn, frumpy. They’re extra long, oversized, loose, shapeless, and baggy. They come in old lady colors and prints that are weird and wild, and have zero style. The quality isn’t always the best either. Good looking long tops to wear with white jeans are few and far between.
Luckily I’ve been scouting around and found some that are nice! Let’s look at the different types and how to style them.

Linen Tunics
Linen tunics are light, cool, colorful – so they’re ideal in spring and summer. They have more of a boxy straight up and down share- great for hiding your middle and have a relaxed vibe.
The roll tab sleeves and the shorter elastic sleeves are both super flattering because they are 3/4 length. They show off a bit of skin, which makes you look more sporty and youthful. Plus, the 3/4 length draws attention up to the end of the sleeves and away from your belly and hips! The cuffs help too! Someone put some thought into these!
I adore these summery aqua shades and love the way they pop next to white. The classic paisley print also pretty, too, because of the modern hues.
I love this sunny yellow Lynd Tunic shirt by Lily Pulitzer
Chiffon-Like Layered Hem Top
Here’s another great style of long top to wear with white jeans that has been super popular for the last couple of years. This flowy, angelic-looking layered hem top with the flattering V-neck is feminine, romantic, and good at hiding your belly. I love the crisscross front and the breezy, flowy sleeves. It’s a stunning choice for white jeans when you want to add a little oomph to a casual white denim outfit.

Asymmetrical Tunics
Asymmetrical Tunics have a creative or boho feel and are a great way to distract from your middle or your big booty when wearing white jeans. This sleeveless high-low chiffon tunic is super elegant and classy with a pair of your favorite white jeans – in this case, flare. If you are less elegant and more natural boho, then this embroidered black tunic on the right is a beauty. All the detail on the top pulls your eye to the neckline and away from your men-o-pot!
Here’s a couple more I wanted to mention. This tropical leaf print one has an inviting tropical vacation vibe. I love the orange with white jeans and the unique embellished neckline that looks like tiny shells. The length is great, too!
With eyelet so much in style this spring, this chic eyelet linen tunic fits right in. Navy is super slimming if your tummy is bigger than you’d like, and I find the navy with white gives a perky nautical vibe, which is always a great summer look.
The Bottom Line on the Best Long Tops to Minimize Your Middle
So, Ladies, if you don’t know what to wear with white jeans to cover your belly or if you have any of those old, extra-long frumpy tops hanging in your closet you were thinking about wearing, don’t. Consider one of these to modernize your look and hide the belly bulge that tugs at your confidence. No one will ever know!

Hi,
Thank you for finally giving me ideas for using my white pants again. I bought them a while back, and I was wearing them with a few subtle solid-colored tops, but then it got boring, and I packed my white pants in the never wear section of the wardrobe again. I liked the linen shirt idea and will try it out tonight when I go to the movies.

I love white skinny jeans and pants — they are more summery, it’s true! But I notice (on myself) that white tight-fitting skinnies and leggings are not as flattering (they show off the cellulite if you’re not trim and fit!) unless the tunic or dress is long enough to cover the bumpy areas of the thighs. I still wear my black leggings in summer, just as I would wear a black sundress or maxi skirt. I like black leggings in summer with white linen tunics and other summery tops. Silver metallic sandals keep the look lighter, I think.
