How to Look Fab in a Leopard Wrap Dress
Fall is out in full force, and I’m loving the gorgeous gold leaves, which are such a pretty backdrop to my chic, new Leopard Wrap Dress.
Diane Von Furstenberg has always been one of my go-to brands. She’s a designer who is not afraid of color or print, and I like that!
Of course, DVF is most famous for her iconic wrap dress, of which I have owned many! I keep buying this style because wrap dresses are so figure-flattering. They nip in the waist and push up the bust, enhancing your curves and creating a beautiful hourglass figure.
This darling leopard dress is similar to the classic wrap dress but with a twist. It’s more like a cross between shift dress and a wrap dress. Instead of the typical crisscross neckline, it has a button up front.
So, you still get that feminine shape, but there’s no worry of exposing too much cleavage, which can sometimes happen with a wrap dress. (They tend to slip open at the neckline, and sometimes you have to pin them or wear a camisole.)
This dress feels fantastic! I feel professional, modern, and a little bit sexy because of the wild animal print. Leopard print is such a huge trend this fall, as you have probably noticed. (More about How to Wear animal prints in this post).
How do you look fab in a dress like this? You don’t need to accessorize this leopard print dress very much because the print is so bold. These black suede pumps and ultrasheer hose give it a very classy look, but you could also wear an opaque hose and a pair of black suede or leather boots, which would look great too!
Here’s a closer look at that interesting wrap detail. You can see the shirtdress silhouette and the way the material had been gathered, twisted, and wrapped under the bust. I must say, it really gives you an extra boost … if you know what I mean! I was starting to feel like Victoria’s Secret model (LOL).
The cuffed sleeves are a nice touch too.
My Gucci bag has been all over the blog lately. I treated myself last year ( X-mas gift to myself) to this velvet beauty, and I’m really enjoying it! I think the velvet is a nice way to bring in some texture, and it makes the leopard print seem more glam.
If you are looking for a way to get in on the leopard print trend and you want to do it in a classic, ladylike way, then this leopard print dress is a winner.
