Pumpkin Spice Sweater Perfect for Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian readers! Americans won’t be celebrating until November, but here in Canada, we’re sitting down to a big Turkey dinner tonight.

It’s been a beautiful, long October weekend. There’s a slight chill in the air, and it’s feeling like sweater weather. So today, I’m showing you what I’m wearing on this cozy family holiday.

Pumpkin Spice Sweater Perfect for Thanksgiving

When I was looking for a cozy Thanksgiving top, I found this gorgeous pumpkin spice sweater. (similar)

The color couldn’t be more fall-like. It’s a beautiful browny-orange that looks great with blue or black jeans.

I’m wearing it with Paige  Skinny Jeans   with my pumpkin-colored sweater. I’ve talked about Paige Jeans before. I wear this brand a lot! Why? They fit so well (these are the high-rise ones), and they’re light and comfy with lots of stretches. (I can’t stand jeans that are stiff or weigh you down.)

I  always prefer a dark wash over faded jeans. I find it a little more elegant, and darker denim is always so slimming.  This deep blue really makes the pumpkin shade pop!

Micheal Kors Green Bag

Green is one of the top colors for fall. I picked up this really cute Michael Kors Crossbody purse with the gold chain. It’s an unexpected color for a bag, and it adds a nice surprise to the outfit.  This bag is from the Michael Kors Jet Set collection. It’s the perfect kind of bag to carry on weekends when you want to go hands-free. It’s ideal for when you’re doing things like shopping at the farmers market, going out for a walk around town, and going out for lunch. It carries just enough.

Collared sweater for women

You can wear this darling bag, which comes in a few colors, over your shoulder, crossbody, or you can just fold up the leather strap and carry it like a small chain bag.  I think the gold adds a beautiful touch.

Off you go……. Casual but classy!

vince-camuto-booties

Did you notice my suede booties? They’re from Vince Camuto.  This is the first time I have worn this brand, and I’m hooked. Modern styles are very comfy, and their booties fit true to size! I love the cute little cutouts at the sides and the subtle cowboy vibe.

Did I mention that this DVF Talassa sweater is wool and cashmere?  It’s super soft, not scratchy at all like some sweaters can be.

I love the texture of this sweater. It adds a lot of richness, and the pattern is fresh and different.

It’s not a bulky sweater either. It has a slim fit, which is great because who needs bulk?

Thanksgiving or not, this is just a fabulous fall sweater to have in your wardrobe. It makes dressing easy. You don’t need to wear much else with it. It’s gorgeous on its own, and you will look wow when you walk into a room.

  1. P.s I forgot to mention those booties. I love them. I’m a big fan of taking, but I think my hubby would kill me if I bought more……then again….?
    Love Ronnie. XXXX

  2. Hi Deborah, Happy Thanksgiving. To you and all Canadian readers.
We don’t have Thanksgiving in the U.K. Our subsequent celebrations are Halloween and then Guy Fawkes night on November 5th or Bonfire night, as it’s well known here in the U.K.
I love the pumpkin sweater look, it would go well for a bonfire party I’m going to, plus I have an adorable Micheal Kors coat that will go well with that.
Can I also say how well the pumpkin sweater sets off the color of your hair? It suits you. Can I also be cheeky and ask what color blonde it is? It’s a beautiful color.
Thank you for all your fashion tips; they are helping me to be chic, not shabby. Best wishes, love Ronnie. XXXX

    1. Hi Ronnie,
Thanks for dropping by. I have a lot of UK readers, and it’s an absolute thrill to have you as part of the community. You were asking about my hair. I have it highlighted at the salon, so I’m not sure which color they use, but I always ask for a neutral blonde- no ash. My hair naturally has a lot of gold in it, so if I add neutral blonde, it makes it nice and buttery. Have fun at Bonfire night! Cheers, Deborah
