Spring may be here, but for many of us, including me, it’s far too early to start wearing sleeveless tops and breezy sundresses. While I wait for temperatures to climb and spring showers to end, I’ve been wearing many lightweight sweaters. Here are some favorites from my recent Amazon haul. Can you believe these are all under $50!
1. Hot Pink Ribbed Sweater
There’s no better way to welcome spring than with a pretty pink ribbed sweater. This one is thin and long, so you can tuck it in or wear it out. It looks good both ways. It’s perfect for travel when you need a light sweater to take with you on summer vacation for cool nights or surprise temperature drops. Just roll it up into a ball and toss it into your suitcase. It’s easy and lightweight, just what you want.
2. Twisted Cold Shoulder Sweater
If you want to look a little sexy without looking cringe over 40, 50, or more, then a cold shoulder sweater like this is a good idea. This top covers flabby upper underarms that you may shy about but shows off some skin on your upper arms. Then it crisscrosses at the elbow and twists open again to reveal your forearm. The result is a modest but alluring look.
3. Contrast Sleeve Sweater
Here’s an exciting sweater that makes you look twice. This artsy-looking contrast sleeve sweater has the same look as a color block sweater. The central part is solid with patterned arms. At some angles, it almost looks like you are wearing a vest over another shirt. This modern look will add a creative look to a classic outfit. I chose this neutral camel, but it also comes in other exciting combinations. Take a look!
4. Nautical Striped V-neck Sweater
Do you own a navy v-neck striped sweater? It’s such a versatile piece in any summer wardrobe- a true Amazon Essential. I like this particular one because it is very thin and lightweight. The thick stripes are excellent from a change of thin stripes (I own so many tops with thin lines). It’s the perfect go-to piece as we transition to spring and looks fabulous with white pants in summer!
5. Cable Stitch Yoke Sweater
Netting, Crochet, and crochet-like details, as seen on this cable stitch yoke sweater, are trending this summer because of the current interest in the boho style. This pretty sweater has some of that vibe, but the more fitted shape gives it a classic look. It’s the best of both worlds.
6. Sky Blue Boatneck Sweater
Does this sweater look familiar? It’s the same one we saw in #1, but it’s in this pretty sky blue. I love the flattering boatneck style that widens your shoulders and makes the rest of your body look so long and lean. This can be worn as is or layered under a jacket. You can also use it the other way around, layering it over a crisp summer shirt.
7. Rose Cardigan
I always like a light cardigan in summer to take with me to restaurants or in air-conditioned places like cold airplanes! This lightweight, no-button cardigan is a favorite. It’s a gorgeous rose color ( but comes in many others too) and looks comfy and casual, worn with a cute t-shirt a pair of black Levi jeans , this fabulous belt and black knit sneakers. This would make a great travel outfit.
8. Deep V-Neck Tunic Sweater
If you are looking for a summer sweater to wear with skinny jeans or leggings that hide a tummy and cover your bottom, this v-neck tunic sweater is it. It’s cotton – medium weight with a beautiful deep V and is a great thing to slip on now until the summer. I love the tunic style and the slits at the side, which show a little hip and are so figure-flattering.
Wondering about the jeans I’m wearing in all these photos. They’re my Levi, high waist straight leg jeans in Carbon Glow and also black. You can check them out right here.
