Every spring, I get to that point where my winter sweaters suddenly feel too heavy, but it’s definitely not warm enough for sleeveless tops.

That’s when I start looking for lighter sweaters that are comfortable, easy to layer, and still look polished.

Amazon has become one of my favorite places to find them, and these are a few that I think are especially good this season.

One way I like to transition into spring and summer is with a cute nautical look, and this V-neck blue-and-white striped sweater is perfect for that. It’s such a versatile piece in your wardrobe—a proper Amazon Essential.

2. Pink Polo Sweater

This is definitely one of my favorites for this time of year. It’s a soft, fitted polo sweater with a beautiful collar and gorgeous cable knit detail. It comes in several colors and looks fantastic with jeans. I love the collar and the way it frames your face. It’s such a nice step up from your average V-neck or crew-neck sweater.

This classy neutral cardigan has got to be the perfect length, not cropped, but not so long that it looks frumpy. I love the relaxed, slightly oversized fit and how soft it is. It’s the perfect cardigan to ease into spring, and it would be great for summer going into fall, too!

We often forget about texture, but this cute sweater with wavy ripples is a good reminder of how great it can look. It’s the perfect little top to wear with jeans or under a jacket.

I also have this wavy sweater in off-white, which I find handy because it is the perfect layering piece.

 

5. Rose Cardigan

I get chilly in air-conditioned restaurants and on the plane. In the summer, this lightweight, no-button cardigan is a favorite.

It’s a gorgeous rose color (but comes in many others) and is comfy and casual. It can be worn with a lacy tank and black dress shorts. These snake-print slides add fun edginess.

This elegant Chanel-style cardigan works all year round but is perfect to wear with black pants as you move into spring.

Leave it unbuttoned and open, exposing a tee. Then wear it in the summer, indoors at the office, or in the evenings when it cools down. The gold buttons are so classy.

I love this delicate puff-sleeve knit, which is very fine and soft, thanks to a bit of cashmere. A V-neck is always flattering because it opens up your chest and elongates your neck, making you look lovely and tall.

As you know, puff sleeves are in style, but I’ve been careful about wearing them. I don’t want to look like a Disney princess at my age!

A knit top like this is an excellent way to try the trend. The puff sleeves are small and look pretty without being too girly.

To make the lavender sweater pop, I paired it with these Levi straight-leg black jeans and black sandals. I hadn’t worn these in years until I ordered them, and I was pleasantly surprised to rediscover this iconic brand.

Black and white is always chic, but look closely, and you will see that these stripes are more like ribbons of textured stitches. This is another great transitional sweater that you can dress up with black pants or pair with white jeans as we get closer to summer. It’s lightweight but warm enough for travel and thin enough to wear around your shoulders, knotted over a cute top or tee.

Whether you need a cute outfit for July 4th or love a hit of patriotic red, white, and blue in the summer, this smart-looking cardigan is a great addition to your wardrobe. It’s similar to the rose one I shared earlier, but has no buttons, making it a little more laid-back and casual. Pair it with a striped Amazon tee and those Itty Bitty boot-cut jeans again for an all-American summer look.
