Ann Taylor New Arrivals: 3 Fall Looks Styled for You!

I’m back again for another update in my brand series, Styled for You.  Today, I’m focusing on one of my favorites, a retailer that checks all the boxes for me in terms of style, quality, color, and price. It’s Ann Taylor.

Have you ever wondered if there is an Ann Taylor? I did some digging, and here’s the story. The brand started in Connecticut in 1954, and since “Ann” was a popular name, the company name became Ann Taylor. This was derived from the fact that they specialized in tailored clothes. It’s just a fun bit of trivia for you, and you can see how the name still holds today.

When I think of Ann Taylor, I think of quality classic pieces with beautiful tailoring and feminine modern twists. It’s known for polished career clothing, but it’s much more.

They also have an excellent selection of upscale casual looks, and I love that I can always count on them for trending colors mixed in with their famous neutrals.

I wore Ann Taylor when I was in my 20s and working in the corporate world, and I still wear it now at home with my casual 60+ lifestyle.

Look at some of their new fall arrivals, Styled for You!

Pleated Midi Skirt

Ooh la la! I’ve seen pleated skirts on midlife women, but they often look stiff, like an accordion. This gorgeous rust-colored pleated skirt is soft and flowy –  perfect in my eyes!

In true Ann Taylor style, it is pared down and elegant, modern and feminine.  To balance out the fullness of the pleats, pair your skirt with a slim-fitting top, such as this button-cuff boatneck top.

Kitten heel mules are trending and very sexy, too, in an Audrey Hepburn way. I love the look of these classic beauties.

Add a faux Croc chain-strap crossbody bag and a delicate pearl pendant necklace, and you have the perfect holiday look for work or entertainment at home.

Faux Leather Flare Pants

If you equate Ann Taylor with boring and corporate, think again. This gorgeous pair of flared faux leather pants is edgy and fashion-forward.

In keeping with the brand’s feminine take on clothes, these edgy pants are a rich, chocolatey brown, which helps soften the rough masculine look of leather.

Pair these pants with a pretty satin blouse (Ann Taylor has some great ones that make it easy to match) and a soft chain bag in a bold leopard print (leopard is one of fall’s hottest trends).

Then, add these stunning suede booties with that cute buckle. Finish off the look with a chunky gold necklace and gold-stamped earrings.

Ann Taylor shoes are one of their best items. If you haven’t noticed, could you check them out? They’re always very fashion-forward, yet practical too.

Tab Waist Ankle Pants

Sleek and streamlined…That’s what I love about Ann Taylor. Yes, they have some ruffles and flowy clothes, but at their core, they are all about simple, chic, modern staples.

These black ankle pants with the flattering tab waist are a great example.

I love this lean, long look paired with a boxy, striped, ribbed turtleneck. This outfit exudes French flair and an effortless vibe, characteristic of the Parisian women it’s named after.

Add a slim leather belt, a vegan leather hobo bag, and these finely feminine Mary Jane flats.  These simple twist hoop earrings add to what I’d call a classy, casual holiday look for now or the holidays.
