Ann Taylor New Arrivals: 4 Looks Styled for You!

I’m back again for another update in my brand series, Styled for You.  Today, I’m focusing on one of my favorites, a retailer that checks all the boxes for me in terms of style, quality, color, and price. It’s Ann Taylor.

Have you ever wondered if there is an Ann Taylor? I did some digging, and here’s the story. The brand started in Connecticut in 1954, and since Ann was a popular name, the company name became Ann. Taylor came from the fact that they specialize in tailored clothes! It’s just a fun bit of trivia for you, and you can see how the name still holds today.

When I think of Ann Taylor, I think of quality classic pieces with beautiful tailoring and feminine modern twists. It’s known for polished career clothing, but it’s much more.

They have an excellent selection of upscale casual looks, too, and I love that I can always count on them for lots of colors tossed in with their famous neutrals.

I wore Ann Taylor when I was in my 20s and working in the corporate world, and I still wear it now at home with my casual 60+ lifestyle.

Look at some of their new arrivals Styled for You!

Tulle Party Skirt

Ooh la la! I’ve seen tulle skirts on midlife gals, but many looked too fluffy ( like a ballerina costume). This gorgeous black tulle skirt is perfect in my eyes.

In true Ann Taylor style, it is more pared down and elegant, and I love the delicate dots that add texture and make it so ladylike.  Ann Taylor always has the most beautiful collection of sweaters, and this knit with the jewel-encrusted neckline is a knockout!

Slingbacks are trending and very sexy, too, in an Audrey Hepburn way. I love the look of these beauties. Add a classy bag and some festive crystal bow earrings, and you have the perfect holiday look for work or entertainment at home.

Cropped Faux Leather Leggings

If you equate Ann Taylor with boring and corporate, think again. This gorgeous pair of cropped faux leather pants is edgy and fashion-forward. Furthermore, in keeping with the brand’s feminine take on clothes, these edgy pants are green, softening the harsh look and creating excitement.

Pair this with a pretty blouse (Ann Taylor has some great ones that make it easy to match), a belt and soft chain bag, and these stunning gold flats with the big statement buckle.

Ann Taylor shoes are one of their best items. If you have never really noticed, check them out. They are always very fashion-forward but practical, too.

Cranberry Waist Tie Pants

Color Galore…That’s what I love about Ann Taylor. Yes, they have plenty of neutrals and do them well, but they also have an explosion of color in every collection, making this brand more youthful and alive! These gorgeous cranberry pants with the chic waist tie are a great example.

I love this juicy color that is very easy to wear paired with a classic white cashmere sweater and this stand-out cranberry and purple plaid coat!

Add crystal earrings, a velvet bag, and these finely feminine suede booties, and you have a classy, cozy holiday look.

Pearl Embellished Sweater

Christmas would only be special with a touch of crystal, sequin, or, in this case, pearl embellishment. This chic black sweater is elegant and super pretty with the pearl-dotted sleeves.

You could wear this with black pants or jeans, but try these crisp white pants for a trendy monochromatic look.

A black bag and these fabulous flats with the rhinestone ankle strap are easy to walk in and glam to boot! Remember some dazzling earrings!
