What I Like About the Brand
The thing I notice most about Alex Evenings is that their dresses fit real bodies. After 40, most of us are a little rounder and softer than we used to be. I love that their dresses (and evening separates) have stretch where you want them. Nothing feels too tight, and I don’t feel like I’m trying to squeeze into a dress made for a 20-something. The fabrics (their special compression fabric) are light and stretchy, and there’s no guesswork with the sizing. I find the fit perfectly true to size. When you put on Alex Evenings, it just feels right.

- Wraps/clutches: I almost always bring a light wrap—especially if the event is indoors or in the evening. And I carry a small clutch, just big enough for the basics.

This stunning ruffle front gown feels like the perfect mix of classic and eye-catching, and boy, does that coral color say summer! I love the elegant one-shoulder detail and the floral detail. The one-shoulder cut with that floral detail is soft and feminine without being over the top. It looked so pretty in photos at sunset.
What I paired with it: Sparkly heels with clear straps, pearl and silver bag, and hair styled in soft waves.

The bright pink stretch satin is very figure-flattering with the nipped-in tie waist and face-framing portrait collar.
These pants feel so good on! They’re so lightweight and flowy. They really make you feel glam, just as fancy as you would feel wearing a long skirt. Bonus: you don’t see it here, but there is a hidden zipper up the back, which makes this stop super easy to get in and out of. No messing up your hair or makeup!
