Best Long Sweaters to Wear with Leggings & Pants
If you love leggings and skinny pants, a sophisticated way to wear them is with a long, cozy sweater. But finding one that’s just the right size and shape takes a little searching. Today, I’m sharing 5 of my favorite long sweaters and how I style them to get the right look.

1. Long Mock Neck Sweater
Here’s a fabulous and practical sweater since it’s not a traditional length sweater, but it’s also not a long-tuned one. In other words, you can wear it 2 ways. Could you put it in at the front and let it hang over, or leave it full out? It looks chic over slim pants or thick leggings.
Look closely; you will see it has a modern design with ribbing going horizontally two-thirds of the way across the front and then vertically up and down the side. I love the chic mock neck; that blue is stunning with black. Relaxed but not sloppy looking, this long top for leggings feels fresh and youthful!

2. Ribbed Turtleneck Tunic
This long turtleneck tunic sweater is for gals who like a longer, more relaxed look. This cozy knit covers you in front and behind, so go ahead and don’t feel self-conscious about wearing those tight leggings. With this oversized look, I like to push up the sleeves and expose a little forearm for a younger, hipper look. I also suggest wearing a long tunic sweater like this to wear a bit of a heel.
A long sweater can make you look short or even drown you, especially if you are petite. Note the side slits. They are super flattering. Exposing a little thigh is slimming and sporty.

3. Classic Knit Duster
A long cardigan or duster is a great thing to wear with leggings or slim pants. If you want to layer a longer top underneath, like this crisp white shirt, go right ahead! This beautiful duster looks rich and elegant in this regal blue color and, worn with black, oozes sophistication.

4. Drop Shoulder Tunic
Here’s another tunic sweater but with a much smaller slit and a stylish drop shoulder. I love the shape of this gorgeous knit and the stunning lavender color, which looks elegant and feminine with these slit-front leggings.

5. Wide Cuff Tunic
Here’s a beautiful sweater with a trend detail- wide cuffs, which are going strong now! The shirt is shorter than the other tunic styles, but the tone-on-tone pairing works perfectly. I love a matched color set like this when you want to feel chic. Bonus: monochromatic makes you look long and lean!
Enjoy!
