Why I love Colleen Rothschild Radiant Cleansing Balm: A review

I was lucky enough to be blessed with good skin, and thanks to my mom, who encouraged me at an early age to take special care of it, I have never gone to bed with my makeup on, ever!  What do I use to wash my face before I drift off to sleep? Over the years, I’ve used a few different things, but there’s one product that has recently become a huge favorite, and I’m dying to tell you about it because I consider it a true Fabulous After 40 Beauty Booster!

It’s called Radiant Cleansing Balm, and it’s by Colleen Rothschild.

First, a little background on the brand. I was first introduced to the Colleen Rothschild skincare line at the Rewardstyle blogger conference two years ago. It’s a fairly new brand started by a smart, gorgeous woman, Colleen Rothschild, who spent 20 years in the cosmetic industry helping develop and manufacture skin care products until she finally decided to go out and start her high-performance line.

Impressed with Colleen, her entrepreneurial spirit, the look of her beautiful products, and the science behind them, I decided to try out a sample of Radiant Cleansing Balm. I instantly fell in love, and I used it for a few months until I finally ran out. Then, I went back to finishing off a few other cleansers that I had been testing since I had spent a lot of money on them. (You know how that is!)

When I returned to the Rewardstyle conference last April, I met the brand again and let them know how much I loved their cleansing balm. They graciously gifted me with more of the Radiant Cleansing Balm and a few other products from their lovely skincare line. So once again, I started using the balm and haven’t stopped since.

Now, you can see that I am not one to jump the gun and recommend something until I have been using it faithfully for a very long time and know it works. This is the case here. I can honestly say The Colleen Rothchild Radiant Cleansing Balm has become one of my beauty favorites. Why? In a word, this cleansing balm is heavenly!

If you go to the website, the brand says they have created a skincare line that provides a sensory-rich beauty experience.  I’d say that’s a  great way of putting it!

For example, the smell. When I wash my face with the cleansing balm, I feel like a bit of a junkie or something because of the way I love to whiff that balm as I’m smoothing it all over my face. It has the most gorgeous, fresh smell, and when you add some water to the balm, it just comes alive! It’s not perfumey; it’s natural and botanical and makes you feel like you are having an aromatherapy treatment at a spa. I find it very addictive!

Then there’s the texture. Most times, facial cleansers are like soaps or lotions, but the Radiant Cleansing Balm is light and fluffy like whipped butter. Love it!  After I wash it off, my skin feels so soft and plump, not greasy at all, and it does look slightly luminous too! (Must be because of the Loofah seed and Moringa Oil that’s in this balm – Very cool!)

Finally, I find that I like the look of this skincare line. (After all, a beauty product should look beautiful, right?) The creamy candlelight-colored balm comes in simple, classy packaging. It’s elegant and understated, and the vibe is clean, healthy, and not gimmicky. You get the feeling that this is the right kind of line for a mature, sophisticated woman, and the science behind the product backs that up.

I have also tried some other Colleen Rothschild bestsellers which are lovely too, but for now, let me say the Colleen Rothschild  Radiant Cleansing Balm is something that is a great place to start because I know you will love it as much as I do!
