How To Dress For Your Zodiac Sign: Taurus

Illustration of taurus zodiac sign as a beautiful girl

Have you been following my How to Dress for Your Zodiac Sign series? Today, I’m profiling the Taurus woman, born between April 20th – May 20th.

Taurus women love the good things in life, whether that’s food, a luxury lifestyle, or of course, clothes. Far from frivolous, the Taurus woman appreciates quality and is never one to settle for anything but the best. Generally sweet and good-natured, she may show a surprising flash of temper when pushed.

Persistent, sensual, determined, and driven, the Taurus woman is an emotional force to be reckoned with and the perfect person to have in your corner when the going gets tough.

Casual Taurus

Taurus women are masters when it comes to keeping it cool and real all at the same time. They’re no strangers to the latest trends but only embrace those that are practical and functional. While a gray sweatshirt and sneakers are wardrobe basics, the Taurus woman will sport them in a hip and cool way. In this case, that means a sweatshirt with bell sleeves and practical, cute and comfy slip-on sneakers.

I’ve added a pair of leather leggings to the mix as a nod to Taurus’ love of texture and quality fabrics and finished off the look with jewelry and a super-cute crossbody bag that dresses up any outfit. Far be it from a Taurus to not look polished from head to toe.

How to dress your zodiac sign Taurus

Dressy Taurus

For a dressy Taurus look, I chose this green bell sleeve shift dress. (It’s available in black too.) The simple t-shirt styling that can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with tights, boots, or booties appeals to Taurus’ practical and functional side.

But with on-trend bell sleeves and done in luxe velvet with lace detailing at the wrist, it satisfies a Taurus’ love for the latest and appreciation of quality fabrics. Green, along with other earthy tones, is a favorite of the Taurus woman too!

  1. Hi, I am a Taurus, and I love your site. I can say that Tauruses love comfort, so I say baggy patins, and I will say now that a Taurus girl will hate letters. IT IS SO uncomfortable, and a Taurus girl loves comfort, so I will say now that whit a Taurus girl will love a lovely dress that is still comfortable.

  2. I’m not a Taurus; I’m not even in the Earth elemental group, but I think Taureans are very relaxed and like to get cozy, so maybe add some comfy stuff, I don’t know. But I know nothing about Taurus, so correct me if I’m wrong! lol

  3. Deborah – I am also a Taurus- and you are right on the money with this post – and it does look like you raided my closet – I have these outfits – with the exception of the leather leggings – but I have worn them in the past. ok, my dress is more of a blue teal and there’s no lace edging. I enjoy your writing and look forward to your posts.

  4. I am a Taurus. I would describe my style as a bit edgy with comfort in mind. A lot of people are surprised that I am 42 as most think I am younger. I wear a bit of black although have been introducing color and pattern slowly into my wardrobe over the last few years. I suit warmer, winter, earthy tones. I like to mix and match items and labels. I found this article interesting so thank you.

  5. I read your e-mail about dressing for the Taurus sign which I am. You pretty well hit it on target for how I like to dress. Enjoyed the article, I enjoy all the information I get from this website. It’s given me lots and lots of ideas for how to dress tastefully and stay true to my style of dressing. Thanks for all the great information.
