I always start the season with the best intentions. I make my list, sit down with a cup of coffee, and begin hunting for thoughtful gifts for the people I love. Without fail, I get completely sidetracked. You spot something you’ve had your eye on for months, or a little upgrade that would make everyday life easier, and suddenly you’re adding a few treats to your own cart too. It happens to every woman I know, and honestly, I don’t think it’s a bad thing.
The holidays are busy, and sometimes giving yourself a small gift (or two) feels like a nice way to add a little joy to the season. So today I’m sharing a few gift ideas from Amazon that are on Sale for Black Friday that I’ve bought, own and love. Some are long-time wish list items, some are everyday essentials I love to refill, and some are simply things that looked too good to pass up.
I love the look of this ribbed knit pullover because it’s a little different from everything else out right now. The fit is slim and flattering, and the thumb detail is great when you’re feeling chilly. And the pink? Such a nice change when it feels like all we see lately is black, brown, and gray. It’s an easy piece to throw in your suitcase too, so it’s perfect for travel.
Just looking at this classy, cozy sweater makes me want to pull on a pair of leggings, curl up by the fire, and sip hot chocolate. It has a looser, oversized fit in the arms, but still looks polished when you put it on. It’s snuggly, warm, and one of those sweaters you end up reaching for over and over again.
You know how sometimes you just want something fun and a little over the top? That’s this vest. It’s soft, fuzzy, and has that playful holiday feel that makes you smile. It’s Christmas…I’m going for it.
These instantly give me Martha Stewart vibes in the best way. I’d honestly be happy just having them sitting on the stove because they look that good. But beyond looks, I’ve been worried about all the old coatings chipping off pots and pans and ending up in our food. These solve that problem, and they look pretty doing it.
Everywhere I look lately, I’m reading about how important good sleep is if you want to age well, so I finally decided to try the Hatch. It’s a smart bedside device that combines a reading light, guided wind-downs, sleep sounds, and a gentle sunrise alarm to help you fall asleep easier and wake up naturally. Anything that supports a better nighttime routine feels worth trying, and this one has been on my list for a while.
Last year everyone was talking about snail mucin, and this year it’s collagen jelly. I’m fully jumping on the Amazon trend bandwagon because this looks genuinely interesting, and I always love trying something new. medicube has been everywhere lately, and their collagen formulas are getting a lot of attention for helping with firmness and hydration, so into my cart it goes.
I had a sample of this and loved it. We have scrubs for our faces, but this one is for your scalp, and wow does it make a difference. It leaves your hair feeling incredibly clean and gives your roots a nice lift. If your hair tends to fall flat or get weighed down, this is such a good weekly reset.
A good wrap always gets used, and this one is so easy to throw on. It’s reversible, soft, and can be worn a few different ways, which makes it great for travel, dinners out, or whenever you need a quick extra layer. Even if you have plenty of sweaters, this is one of those pieces you keep within reach because it works in so many situations.
I stumbled on a new hair trick. My hair looks good on day one after washing, but by day two it looks even smoother after sleeping on this pillowcase. The silky texture helps keep your hair shiny and reduces frizz, and it feels luxurious on your skin. The subtle animal print is elegant and adds a little personality without being loud.
I love a good kitten heel bootie, and this pair has such an interesting, high-end look. The mix of faux leather and suede with the curved paneling gives it an artsy, modern feel. They’re stylish, comfortable enough for everyday wear, and the price is surprisingly good for how elevated they look.
After talking about pots, I went down the same rabbit hole with plastic cooking utensils. Some say they can release chemicals when they get hot, and I thought… why risk it. I saw these wooden spoons and they felt like the perfect switch. Simple, safe, and what our mothers and grandmothers used. What’s old is new again.
I owned this sling bag and absolutely loved it. It went with me to Europe on a Danube river cruise and all the way to Vietnam and Cambodia this summer. It is the perfect size, sits close to your body, has plenty of pockets, and is incredibly lightweight. The white-and-tan color goes with everything. I lost mine recently and didn’t hesitate for a second to buy another.
This cozy throw looks like a giant cotton ball or a fluffy cloud. I wanted to reach through my screen and touch it. It has that soft, cozy look that just begs to be pulled over you during a Netflix night. I had to try it. It would be great by the fire with some hot chocolate too!
I love a designer-inspired bag, and this one is so well done. The hardware is gorgeous, the size is perfect now that my kids are grown and no one is asking me to carry their things, and the shape feels modern and polished. It’s got a magnetic flap. It’s Vegand leathere I love the color, and I bought it in black, too.
I have a small bunion that can get irritated in pointy-toe flats, so these caught my eye immediately. The stretchy material gives you room where you need it, and the classic spectator design looks surprisingly chic in a knit fabric. Comfort shoes have come a long way, thank goodness.
The last thing you want when you fly is a heavy carry-on. This lightweight, puffy tote keeps things easy. It holds everything you need without weighing you down, fits comfortably under the seat, and makes airport days a whole lot smoother. It also comes in khaki, which I bought, too.
Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without some red and I have a thing for red, especially when it comes to coats. When I saw this one, I had to have it. The stand collar and mid-thigh length are perfect for quick in-and-out errands, and it feels a little more elevated than a puffer. A great piece for days when you want to look pulled together without trying too hard. And if you don’t like it comes in tons of other colors too.
This is the year. I sit in front of my computer far too long, and my body reminds me every time. I bought this mini treadmill for my office so I can hop on and off throughout the day. Even ten minutes here and there adds up, and it helps keep you moving, improves your posture, and boosts your energy without having to change clothes or leave the house. No excuses now.
I keep seeing these everywhere on Instagram, and it finally made sense why. A weighted vest is such a smart idea for women over 50 because it adds gentle resistance as you walk, which helps support bone density, improves posture, and makes even a short daily walk more effective. It doesn’t feel strenuous, but it does make your routine work harder for you. I can’t wait to try it.
