Holiday Tops for Leggings from Picadilly

This is the time of year when out comes the wine, the cheese, and the crackers. It’s holiday party season, and I love to entertain.

I’m always looking for just the right thing to wear, so I feel comfy but look classy, and I recently found a line of clothing that’s a perfect match. Today, I’m very excited to be partnering with Picadilly to bring you two fabulous tops, which are ideal for the holiday season.

The first one is this stunning 2- toned color block sweater that I’ve paired with leggings. I’m a huge fan of color blocking because it makes you look sophisticated and modern. The black and gold are such a rich color combo, and the high contrast gives the outfit a slightly dramatic feel.

Don’t you love the scarf? It’s so festive and cute this time of year. It’s little touches, like this, that make a top stand apart and get me excited to buy.

The zippers at the waist also caught my eye.  You can see I decided to wear this outfit with lace-up pumps, but it would look just as great with a pair of cute black flats.

This sweater is just one of many from Picadilly,  a Toronto-based brand that has been around since 1975 and is sold in over 10 countries! If you’ve ever shopped in a boutique, you’ve probably bought something from Picadilly, which also sells online.

I was down at the head office and saw firsthand their complete fall and winter line. Let me tell you; these guys know what women over 40 want. Picadilly is sophisticated and modern. They have lots of color and pattern, and they are trendy but not over the top. What I love is, they take classic silhouettes that flatter the figure and give them a modern twist.

The quality is great, the fit is true to size, and the clothes are relaxed and comfy. This is the kind of outfit you can easily move around in or cuddle up in by the fire. Effortlessly chic!

Picadilly says their clothes are made “for the woman who feels age is just a number – it doesn’t define who she is… She knows who she is and knows what she wants. She is Beautiful!” … Sounds good to me!

Here’s outfit number two – a Christmas Red Tunic that I’ve also paired with Picadilly’s best-selling Black Ponte Leggings. This is what I will be wearing on December 25th!

Dresses are always nice, but honestly, I prefer something like this. With dresses, there’s always that hassle of, Should wear I wear nylons? Will I feel really cozy and comfy? ..and, Is a dress practical if I’m making dinner?

We’re going to my sister’s for Christmas dinner this year, which is a real treat for me. This outfit feels dressy enough and like I can kick off my shoes, lounge around, and enjoy!

I like asymmetrical tunics because they’re a little bit edgy (they make you look creative), and they’re also very slimming, especially when they are streamlined through the middle like this one is.

This tunic is soft and stretchy and has a beautiful flow to it. The 3/4 length nicely covers your bottom. The silver buckles at the shoulders are so lovely; you don’t even need jewelry.

And look at the sleeves and the hemline.  That lattice trim is gorgeous, and I love how the slits on the bell sleeves reveal a hint of skin and look so cool.

One more thing…. I didn’t have room to show everything in this post, but be sure to check out their dresses too. They’re adorable! Have a peek and let me know what’s your favorite from Picadilly. Shipping is free within Canada and the U.S.!

Happy holiday shopping!

  1. 2 very lovely outfits which really suit you ;-)
I must ask though why you guys over the Pond insist on calling Christmastime “the holidays’ . Over here we tend to refer to the holidays as summer holidays and always refer to this time of year as Christmas .
    Nicely decorated tree too !

    1. Hi Gaille, We used to call it Christmastime and some of us still do, but it has grown into The Holidays to incorporate other celebrations by different faiths at this time of year. Thanks for liking my tree!
      Cheers, Deborah

  2. Both are beautiful on you! The first one looks terrific with your hair color! Is that your home, completely decorated for Christmas? Wow! Stunning!

    1. Thanks Nirma, I love both of these tops too. I’ll be wearing them a lot during the holidays. Yes, that’s my home. My son is coming home from University out west this Christmas (first year) so I went to town and decorated the place up to welcome him home. It won’t be long now. Can’t wait! Cheers, Deborah
