Houndstooth Knit Jacket – Sophisticated with Jeans

As we head into fall, the easiest way to dress up a pair of jeans and a top is to add a third piece – a jacket. Here’s a beautiful statement jacket that will wake up your wardrobe but that’s very comfy too.

I love wearing a jacket with jeans to give me a polished look, but many jackets can feel a little too structured or stiff. Not this one. This chic little number is a knit jacket. It’s thick and soft with a menswear-inspired vibe. It feels like a sweater, but it looks like a jacket.

This knit jacket is such an iconic look. The high-contrast black and white houndstooth print adds a dramatic punch to your outfit, and the Chanel-inspired shape is striking. Yes, this jacket is technically on the boxy side, but it doesn’t look or feel shapeless. It’s got more of a semi-slim cut that I find very flattering.

I love the relaxed look and feel of the jacket – collarless, no buttons, just that gorgeous black trim frayed edge trim. It’s perfect for layering with a thin sweater or a soft, silky tee. I’ve noticed that black mules with a gold or silver chain are a big trend this fall. It makes sense because we are all pretty much at home or not going far. These shoes are flat and comfy but a step up from slippers!

The pointy toes make your legs look longer,  which I always appreciate when wearing flats ( I like to look as tall as I can). The gold chain detail ties into the Chanel feel of this look and makes it feel high-end. These shoes sell fast,  but I’ve linked a similar black mule.
