3 Ways to Wear a Long Red Cardigan This Fall

Today I’m excited to be partnering with Nordstrom to tell you about all their fabulous house brands on sale, including my favorite finds from the sale – a long red cardigan you can wear these three ways this Fall – Classic, Edgy and Sporty!

LOOK # 1 – CLASSIC

The Nordstrom sale is full of fantastic wardrobe basics that you can mix and match and get tons of mileage out of. Many of them are from their house brands like Caslon, Leith, Zella, BP, and Chelsea 28, to name a few. This gorgeous open-front pocket cardigan from Halogen

I love a long cardigan in the Fall, but a lot of them are thick and heavy. This one is the perfect layering piece because it’s nice and thin, but it still feels luxurious.

This gorgeous red is so powerful and confident looking, but you can also get this sweater in black, a soft pink, and another darker red called Pomegranate.  It fits true to size, and the big side pockets make it feel cozy and snuggly.

I’ve paired my cardigan up with another Nordstrom brand favorite- this pretty white Halogen crew neck sweater. Like the long cardigan, this sweater is very light and soft. It’s thin, but not see-through (which is often the case with a thin, white sweater),  and it’s a little stretchy too, so it feels really good on!

Like all Nordstrom brand products, I find the quality excellent!

How do you like these jeans? I was going for a classic look, and this houndstooth print gives my outfit such a sophisticated vibe. Plus, the fit on these Wit and Wisdom jeans is fantastic.

Mules are trending this Fall, and these elegant black mules with chain detail are super popular. If you like them, be sure to scoop up a pair on sale before they are gone. They’re ideal right now, with so many of us working from home because they are kind of like slippers but more stylish.

Here’s a closer look at my sweater before we move on to look at number two. Do you see the row of pretty buttons up either side of the arm, which is so feminine?

LOOK # 2  EDGY

Another great look you can create with a long red cardigan is to wear it with an animal print tee. I’ve switched out my print jeans for these all-black jeans and added this edgy leopard tee and a pair of sleek suede booties. (similar)

While my first outfit was classic, this one is more on the edgy side.  This combo of red and leopard is hot, hot, hot.

Here’s the outfit minus the cardigan, so you can get a better look at this buttery soft tee, which is also on sale.

This is such a cool look!

LOOK # 3 SPORTY

This third look is more on the sporty/fun side. I went with all black, head to toe, then layered on the red cardigan and added these cute snake print sneakers.

This stretchy mock turtleneck is from Nordstrom’s Halogen brand. I put it with these chic skinny Ponte pants, which are like thick leggings, to create a seamless look almost like a sporty jumpsuit.  When you add the long red cardigan, you create a slimming dark column of color down the center of your body that is super slimming.

The cute sneakers are like the dot on the exclamation mark! They add a final sporty punch to the outfit.

There’s the look without the cardigan. And if you have been wondering about my Quay sunglasses, this is my new favorite sunglasses brand.
