How to Rock Dressy Booties on a Night Out

I’ve written about booties at work, and on the weekend, but you can also pair booties with your more fancy, night-out-on-the-town looks. A sexy bootie is a great alternative to an evening pump or strappy sandal when you are meeting for cocktails, or you have a dinner date.  Here are 5 types of dressy ankle booties to wear on a night out.

Booties - Black Jumpsuit

1. Booties with Metallic Accents

After 5:00 choose a bootie that is sleek and has gorgeous accents like metallic buckles,  studs, or other interesting hardware. The metallic detail in this strappy bootie offers a touch of glam to this all-black outfit. The fine high heel  ( vs. a thick, chunky one) gives your outfit that elegant evening vibe. Black booties are always the perfect choice (Very dark brown peep toe booties can look elegant too).

Booties like these beautiful suede ones, above, look great with clothes made from soft, sexy fabrics like jerseys.  Mirror the metallic on your booties by opting for a piece of gold jewelry and a clutch with a touch of gold hardware.

2. Perforated and Laser Cut Booties

See-through laser-cut booties add flirty femininity. Peep-toe Booties also have a more dressy vibe.

3. Booties that Dip Slightly in the Front

Booties that are cut lower in the front reveal more skin and are sexier.

4. Lace Booties

Lace is always pretty and lovely for evenings. Try wearing dainty black lace booties with a black shift dress.

5. Booties with Sparkle

Dazzle them at a cocktail time with booties that have a touch of sparkle. This looks great, especially around holiday time.

What hose should you wear with evening booties?

You can go bare-legged or try sheer or shiny opaque tights for a more festive look.
