How to Style a Swingy Linen Wrap Skirt
Yay! Sunny skies and warm weather are here, and that means I can finally start wearing some cute summer clothes. Today I’m excited to be partnering with Nordstrom to show you a swingy linen wrap skirt I just got that’s put a spring in my step and a smile on my face!
After a long winter of pants, it’s a thrill to slip into a cute dress or skirt. I always find Nordstrom has an excellent variety to choose from, as well as the latest styles and reasonable prices. When I came across this cute yellow skirt and top, I knew it was perfect for my lifestyle.
It’s a wrap-style skirt, half linen, half rayon that you can throw on in a moment’s notice with a cute top or tee and look fabulous. It is cool, comfy, and machine washable, which makes things easy.
I love how light and airy the skirt is, and the way it moves when I walk and turn. It feels flirty and fun.
The side pockets are chic. I think they really add a lot of styles.
And that cute tie waist is so feminine, especially when you knot it in a big bow ( so on-trend right now).
I teamed up my cheery, linen wrap-around skirt (similar and maxi length) with this perky striped top that has classy gold buttons on the shoulder. I think the robin’s egg blue looks so springy with the yellow and navy.
The whole outfit has a touch of a nautical look, which I like. Both pieces are from Nordstrom’s 1901 brand, which I have been buying a lot lately. It’s classic with a modern twist.
Did you notice the sexy slit? Showing a little leg is youthful, and I love that the slit is subtle. It’s a sophisticated way to be a bit flirty.
I think this outfit is great for running around town (you could wear it with flat sandals), and it’s perfect for travel. Not sure yet, where I’m going this summer, but this outfit will be coming with me. It’s a vacation essential!
You can wear this long linen wrap skirt with any body-skimming top or tee that you can tuck in. It would be ideal for a cruise, sightseeing, to dinner, whatever!
I find yellow such a nice change, but for those who prefer neutrals, this summery linen skirt comes in black too!
Did you notice my woven trim sandals? They’re by Sam Edelman, and despite being high, they are very comfortable because of the thick heel.
I like wearing heels with this long linen wrap skirt because of the midi length, but I can easily see myself wearing my favorite low slides with it too. It’s just that kind of skirt that it can go either way.
There’s my cute summer look. I don’t think you can go wrong with such a classic, fresh outfit that will look and feel great all summer long!

Thanks to @centrogarden for the beautiful shoot location.
Deborah, I love this skirt! Further, I love how you’ve modeled it. Thank you.
I like how the stripes in the sweater align with the sleeve stripes. That’s a detail some retailers miss. However, I’m not sure the blue line right across the bust is a good placement. Perhaps small-busted women are okay with that, but this kind of detail is helpful to note for larger-busted women. :-) Just some thoughts for your blog and details useful for your readers!
