How to Style a Summer Ikat Print Dress

Hi Ladies, Isn’t it great to finally feel the heat? I picked up the cutest Ikat dress that’s easy, breezy, and full of summer charm.

This cute sleeveless dress is by Tommy Hilfiger. What I love about it is that it’s an exciting mix of boho meets classic. Boho because of the exotic, laid-back ikat print, and traditional because of the sleek, elegant sheath silhouette.

This dress is on the short side (although I am tall to start with), but still, I’m o.k. With the length. I’m in my 50’s, and I’m not dead yet! (LOL!) This length is acceptable since it’s summer and will also look charming with flat sandals.

Let me tell you about the accessories. First is a gorgeous Ralph Lauren bag that works with the earthy feel of this tribal print. The rich golden brown color is lovely, and the shape is modern and fresh.

I always like some jacket or wrap, just in case I’m somewhere where the air conditioning is blasting, so I pulled this yellow Veronica Beard jacket out of my closet to wear. You might remember when I wore this jacket to the rewardStyle conference with those great jeans back in April.  The yellow double-breasted jacket picks up on the yellow in the dress and creates and lights up my outfit like a burst of sunshine!

In keeping with the global-inspired Ikat print, I wore my new braided Vince Camuto sandals. I chose them because I liked the way the braiding mirrored the Ikat print, which also has a braided, textured look to it.

These raffia earrings are everywhere this summer. They’re so fun for a change and also fit in with the upscale, tribal vibe I was going after.

Cute look! It’s relaxed and polished at the same time. I love this outfit for a summer business meeting when I want to look confident,d summer,y and comfortable.

There’s the final look. I could use a little self-tanner (lol!), but I will have to remember this one and wear it again sometime soon. Oh, and did I mention how super comfy the jersey is? This is the kind of dress you slip on and moves when you move. It’s silky, soft, and lightweight…easy to pack and great for travel. Plus, you can throw it in the washing machine.

This Tommy Hilfiger Ikat dress is my kind of dress. If you like it too, check out the l links I posted for you. Bonus: Some of the accessories are on an e!
