A Casual, Chic Way to Wear a Shimmer Sweater

The holiday season is here, and even a little sparkle, shimmer, or shine can help put us in a festive mood. Today I’m excited to collaborate with my wonderful blogger friend, Jo-Lynne Shane, to bring you two cute, casual, sparkle looks.

I thought I would need a cute, casual party look that was relaxed and easy, so when I came across this sparkly sweater from Ann Taylor, I snapped it up.

I love the burnt rust color, which is brown-red, and how the sweater is infused with this gorgeous metallic shimmer.

You can see the pretty gold threads up close here. I decided to play up that shimmer by wearing some of my favorite layered necklaces by Kendra Scott.

As you can see, I’ve paired this sweater with these luxurious velvet jeans. I picked these up last year at this same time. They work well with the shirt and give my outfit extra richness. I added some leopard shoes and a sexy leopard clutch to give my casual party look some extra oomph!

I bought this merlot jacket last year, which has been a fantastic investment. I’m all for having at least one leather jacket in your wardrobe. It adds an edge to any outfit and is so practical too.

Here’s the final shimmer sweater look; so relaxed but cute for a get-together with friends, dinner out, or to feel more in the Christmas mood. To shop this look, click the links below.

Don’t forget to visit my friend Jo-Lynne Shane, where you will see another fabulous casual sparkle look!

    1. Hi Lori, Sure, put a tiny leopard print under the tree! It’s such a hot trend this year and an excellent way to add a sexy edge to an outfit! Thanks for stopping by!
      Cheers, Deborah

  1. Hi, Deborah! I love your tagline, “Tweak Your Chic”! This lurex sweater has just the right amount of sparkle. What a perfect holiday outfit – nothing is more fun than a colored moto jacket. I’m also digging the hit of leopard – well done, and keep up the great costumes!

    1. Thanks, Shannon, What I liked was the color of this sweater. It’s not brown; it’s not burgundy; it’s a cross and so unique with the gold threads running through. Glad you liked it! Cheers, Deborah
