What to Wear on New Year’s Eve – 5 Casual Glam Outfits

There aren’t many occasions to wear sparkle and shine, so on New Year’s Eve, why not glam it up, even if the dress code is casual? 1. Velvet Top or Pants

When Christmas arrives, so does the velvet. After all, it is Santa’s favorite fabric. Velvet pants and tops are rich, luxurious, and a gorgeous starting point for a relaxed but elegant New Year’s eve outfit.

Velveteen and velour (faux velvet) are popular, too, since they’re lighter and less expensive than velvet. A cute velour top like this with a pair of black pants is an effortless look. I’ve taken it one step further by pairing my velvet wrap top with these luxurious black velvet jeans. They’re soft, stretchy, and super comfy as you countdown the clock!

2. A Silk or Satin Blouse

Another easy way to create a gorgeous New Year’s Eve Outfit is to pair a shiny silk shirt with holiday dress pants. This is a simple, glamorous combo that always works! Ivory, green or gold silk shirt looks lovely with black pants or a skirt, but my favorite color this time of year is always red!

3. Anything with a Bow

New Year’s is a fun, playful time, so why not play up that vibe with a festive holiday bow? This darling black top with the oversize bow is just what I am talking about. See how cute and feminine it looks with these sparkly plaid pants and a pair of sexy heels. This is perfect for the classic gals who crave a touch of drama as the clock approaches midnight!

4. Crystal Embellished Sweater

Anything embellished feels party-ready and the perfect thing to wear to count down the New Year. Every year this time, you’ll find lots of black embellished sweaters that look classy and chic with a pair of black pants. This is a great evening look when you want something cozy that feels special. This is a sweater I have owned for a while, so it is not available,  but I have rounded up some similar black sweaters below.

Don’t forget a swipe of brighter lipstick with black. Some sparkly jewelry always helps too. I love black, but it can wash you out since it is pretty high contrast against again skin, so be sure to pump up the makeup a bit when you are wearing all black

5. Pearl Sweater or Top

Here’s a sparkly look for New Year’s that’s more on the soft, romantic side. Pearl-embellished tops are popular this time and give off a warm holiday glow.
