3 Summer Outfits That Instantly Refresh Your Wardrobe (And They’re 30% off!)
Every summer, there are a handful of trends that catch my eye, but only a few actually make it into my closet.
In recent posts, I’ve talked about many of these trending styles. Today, I’m sharing three that I decided were worth trying. They’re modern, wearable, and easy to work into an existing wardrobe—which is something I’m always looking for.
I found all three looks at Macy’s, and each one nods to a current trend without feeling like you’re trying too hard.
And with Macy’s Friends & Family Sale happening now, and 30% OFF, it’s a great time to refresh your summer wardrobe. Let’s take a look.
Outfit #1: The Linen Dress Trend gets a Bold Update

If I had to pick one fabric that defines summer, it would be linen. Every year, as soon as the temperatures start to climb, linen comes back in a big way—and this season is no exception.
The reason I love linen is simple. It’s lightweight, breathable, and has that relaxed elegance that’s hard to achieve with other fabrics. Even on the hottest days, it looks cool and effortless.
What caught my attention about this dress wasn’t just the linen fabric, though. It was the color. Red is one of the season’s standout shades, and it’s showing up everywhere from dresses and tops to handbags and shoes. It’s vibrant, confident, and a refreshing change from the soft pastels we often see this time of year.
I also love the midi length. It’s easy to wear and works for so many occasions. And the cute rope belt adds a playful nautical vibe. Whether you’re heading to a summer party, having dinner on a patio, or sightseeing on vacation, this is the kind of dress that always looks fab!

I paired this dress with gold thong sandals, which add a little glam without competing with the dress’s bold color. Metallic sandals are my favorite because they’re neutral and go with everything.
Outfit #1: Coastal Chic, the Easy Way

Coastal chic is one of the biggest style trends this season, and it’s easy to see why. Inspired by life near the water, it’s built around timeless pieces like stripes, crisp whites, navy, and relaxed silhouettes that always feel fresh.
What I like about this trend is that it never feels overly trendy. Unlike some fashion fads that come and go, coastal style has staying power because it’s rooted in classic pieces most of us already wear.
This striped knit tank dress immediately caught my eye because it captures that nautical feel without looking costume-y. The streamlined shape gives it a modern feel, and the stretchy knit fabric makes it easy to slip on and go.

I styled this dress with the same gold thong sandals to match the dress’s gold buttons, but for a casual look, you could easily wear white sneakers. A clean, streamlined sneaker is one of the easiest ways to make a dress feel modern and comfortable.
Outfit #3: Matching Sets Make Summer Dressing Easy

Matching sets are one of those trends I wasn’t completely sure about when they first appeared, but they’ve completely won me over.
Part of their popularity comes from how easy they make getting dressed. Instead of standing in front of your closet trying to figure out what works together, the outfit is already coordinated for you.
This silky floral set feels especially perfect for summer. Floral prints are having a big moment this season, and the cheerful pattern gives the outfit a fresh, feminine feel. At the same time, the matching pieces create a streamlined, sophisticated look that’s kind of fun, too.
What’s also great about matching sets is that you can wear the top and the bottom with other pieces. It’s like getting several outfits for the price of one.

This outfit works equally well with the gold sandals or the white sneakers, depending on whether you want it to feel a little dressier or more casual.

Do I Deb?
The best trends aren’t the ones that make you feel like someone else. They’re the ones that fit seamlessly into your lifestyle and make getting dressed a little more fun.
These three looks do exactly that, and that’s why they made the cut. So think about trying one out yourself.
Now tell me—which one would you wear?

Pants set is polyester. Ugh
Matching set looks like pajamas. Nope
Hi Beth, I can see why you’d think that! Some matching sets can lean a little pajama-like. I find the key is the fabric and how you style them. When they’re paired with structured accessories—like a polished handbag, jewelry, and heels or sleek sandals—they read much more like a chic outfit than sleepwear. But if matching sets aren’t your style, that’s completely okay too. Fashion should always feel like you.
