Perky Striped Party Dress is Cute for Cocktails
When fashion bloggers get together, you can bet there are going to be a lot of wardrobe changes! In my last post, I showed you the cheery yellow dress I wore on day one of the rewardStyle Conference in Dallas.
Today I’m partnering with Nordstrom to bring you outfit # 2 of the day, this perky striped cocktail dress!
A rewardStyle conference is an annual event that brings together 200 top bloggers for education, networking, and fun. The seminars and brand meetings are great, but the best part of the weekend is the socializing and the fabulous parties rewardStyle throws.
I was lucky enough to find a handful of charming dresses at Nordstrom before I left and decided that this darling fit and flare dress was perfect for the golden hour cocktail party held in the hotel atrium.
No surprise, this dress was a big hit! There are so many things I love about it.
First of all, it’s by Vince Camuto, which is a very popular brand at Nordstrom and one I tend to wear a lot. Vince Camuto is modern, classy, and not afraid of color!
The cut and the fit of this dress are like no other! I felt like it was custom-made for me. It’s got a gorgeous V-neckline that doesn’t dip too low, and it’s perfectly tailored at the bust and waist to give that lovely hourglass shape. The skirt is full and flowy and made me feel beautiful and feminine.
My favorite detail? The side pockets. It was so much fun to slip my hands inside those pockets, twist left and right, and do a cute, flirty swirl for the camera. This dress was made for a party!
The other thing that drew me to this dress was the ladylike retro vibe. It’s got a bit of a 50’s feel, don’t you think? Something about it reminded me of June Cleaver from Leave it to Beaver, but way more cute and sexy!
And of course, those stripes! The combination of coral, peach, and, navy all together with the cream is so summery and irresistible.
The night of the party, the weather was lovely and warm. I hung out with Maria @lookingstylish, Beth @styleatacertainage, Jennifer @awellstyledlife, Alison @wardrobeoxygen Susan@ susan_unefemme, and Cathy @bayareafashionista.
As we drank champagne, nibbled on appetizers, snapped photos, and blew kisses on Boomerang, I couldn’t help but think how the right dress really does make everything so much more fun!
I can’t wait to wear this cute dress again. It will work for so many occasions because although it’s dressy, it isn’t formal. It’s fresh, fun, and fashion-forward.
Also, be sure to check out the other fabulous summer dresses at Nordstrom from cool brands like Ted Baker, Kate Spade, Adrianna Papell, and Joie.

You look beautiful! I love your dress (and your smile!)
Does this dress run true to size?
Yes, I’m a size six, and this fits perfectly. I’m also 5’7″ with long legs, so this might be a tad longer if you are shorter than me. It’s a fab dress, and I’ve had tons of compliments!
I believe this dress is being worn on the Today show this morning. So pretty!
I’m not surprised. It is so pretty and makes you feel like a movie star wearing it!
This dress was MADE for you! Look how it stands out in a crowd! I love a good stripe. xx
Thanks, Lisa, This was a fun dress to wear. It felt very flirty! Thanks for stopping by!
Love the bold stripes!
