What Pants Do You Wear with a Cropped Cardigan?

Cute cropped cardigans in chunky knits and rich shades are trending this fall. What are the best pants to wear with them? Let’s take a look.

1. High -Waisted Jeans

Jeans are the obvious thing to pair with cropped sweaters, but be sure to wear the high-waisted ones. Low rise and sometimes even midrise are bound to show a lot of bare belly if you move around or lift your arms. I like flares with pretty cropped princess cardigans. The flares bottoms balance out the roundness of the sleeves.  Straighter classic cropped cardigans look chic with straight-leg jeans, and boyfriend-style jeans, long or cropped.

2. High Waisted Dress Pants

Cropped Cardigans look as chic at work as they do worn casually on the weekends. A beautiful cropped cardigan and a pair of high-waisted pants are elegant and executive-like in a soft way.

3. Faux Leather Leggings

A cozy cropped sweater and faux leather leggings is a gorgeous combo and can work well for a mature gal if you style it right.  While the young gals may be wearing crop tops under their cropped sweaters, don’t let that scare you.  Instead, wear a long top or tunic that covers your front and bottom, and then layer that with a short cropped cardigan over top.

Will you be buying a cropped sweater this fall, and how will you wear it?
