Black is the most popular color for velvet leggings. I practically live in my Spanx black velvet leggings in December. In fact, I liked them so much, I just picked up the exact same pair in red.

How to Wear Velvet Leggings
Casual Outfit – Red Velvet Leggings + Sweater
With leggings it’s always good to cover your bottom, although these leggings are opaque enough that you can go a bit shorter. One way I like to wear my red velvet leggings with with a long ivory turtleneck sweater. This one (similar) has some nice texture that offsets the the very smooth velvet leggings.
To get a sporty look I like to pair these leggings with my favorite lug sole booties, but dressier booties also pair really well with any color velvet legging.
Dressy Outfit – Red Velvet Leggings + Blazer
Another way to style red velvet leggings is to wear them with a long blazer. This dressier look is perfect for holiday parties and evening cocktail events.
Wear this pretty camisole underneath your jacket. Then, accent with a glamorous, studded clutch and these fine, suede, pointy-toe booties. Don’t forget some gorgeous earrings. What a great evening look!
Cozy Glam Outfit – Red Velvet Leggings + Tall Boots
A long black tunic sweater looks classy and cozy with red velvet leggings and quiets the red. In 2025 the trend is to tuck your leggings into tall for a chic city look.
