Clear Sandals: The Chic Summer Shoe Trend
It’s clear to see that transparent sandals are all the rage. I just bought a pair of cute silver slides with a thick, clear strap, and I’m in love with them.

Clear sandals look fresh and modern, and the peekaboo straps add a sexy touch. Because they are partially clear, they have a light appearance, and therefore pair well with a light, floaty chiffon dress.

Clear sandals are also perfect for when you want to wear white pants and you don’t want your feet to look heavy. The thick plastic strap and thin silver strap are barely there.

The silver adds just a touch of sparkle, and the clear plastic elongates your legs because it blends seamlessly into your skin. Here are three more chic sandal styles I thought were really appealing, along with some outfits to pair with them.

Clear Sandals with Studs
One of the most popular types of clear sandals this spring is the ones embellished with metal studs. This cute platform sandal with the rope braid wedge is a good example.
It has a full, clear strap edged in tan leather and lined with square, pointy studs.

Clear Flat Sandals
As with any new trend, you may be unsure. So, for girls who feel that less is more, or prefer a low-key test-out version, here’s a cute, clear sandal. This easy-going, flat summer sandal features three straps in tan and silver, with a clear design. Slide your feet in and take them for a test drive. They’ll go with everything!
Sexy, Clear Sandals with Snakeprint
Clear slides look sleek, especially when they also incorporate an edgy, animal-print finish. These snake-print clear sides are perfect with this skirt because they don’t detract from it. The clear strap disappears when you wear them, making your legs go on for miles! You could say they’re the latest version of the ever-popular nude shoe, just better!
Final Tip: These clear slides are reasonably priced (all under $100), and I think that’s a good thing because, having worn them in the past, I’ve found that they tend to get sweaty and yellow after a season or two. I’d definitely pick up a pair to update your look this summer, but there’s no sense spending a fortune on this fun, trendy summer shoe.
