How to Style an Eyelet Tunic Top (And Why This One Works)

Tunic tops tend to be one of those love-them-or-leave-them pieces.

How I Styled It

Styling this eyelet tunic was easy because it’s already the focal point of the outfit.

When a top has this much personality, I prefer to keep everything else simple.

I paired it with slim white cropped jeans to create that flattering wide-over-narrow proportion that works so well with tunics. The shorter length of the jeans also helps keep the outfit feeling light and balanced.

Tuck It In or Leave It Out?

I’ve seen tops like this styled with a front tuck, but in this case, I think the tunic looks best worn loose.

The beautiful embroidery and longer silhouette are what make this top special—tucking it in reduces some of the impact and calms the proportions that make it so flattering.

Sometimes the best thing you can do is let a great piece do the work.
