How to Style an Eyelet Tunic Top for Summer

Summer is all about staying cool and relaxed, and an eyelet tunic top is a great way to beat the heat in style. Its airy fabric and pretty lace details will keep you looking and feeling light and breezy when temperatures are soaring.

Whether you’re on your way out for lunch or heading to the beach, here’s how to style an eyelet tunic top to look casually chic.

An eyelet tunic top is one of the most comfortable things you can wear in summer because it’s light, airy, and breathable. This pretty yellow one is a lovely change from the classic white eyelet top, and the longer tunic length makes it ideal for wearing over pants when you want something a little looser to cover your tummy.

Yes, the eyelet fabric has little lace-embroidered holes, but I found that wearing a bra was fine because it wasn’t see-through.

I’m the first to admit that some tunic tops look a little too long and shapeless – sort of hippie-dippie.  But this one is chic.  Yellow is such a gorgeous color for summer, and I think many more women can wear it than they do! Plus, the cut of this tunic is quite streamlined (slimmer through the sides), and it’s the perfect length – long enough to cover but not so long it looks frumpy. I love the way the little slits at the side make your legs look nice and long.

The puff sleeves have just enough puff to give this tunic top a very feminine feel. And I love the classic look of the embroidered notched neckline. It really is a work of art!

You can see how exquisite the embroidered detail is. This is the perfect summer statement top!

Styling this embroidered eyelet tunic top was super easy because it’s a statement piece. It’s got so much personality that it looks best if you keep the rest of your outfit plain. I like wearing it with cropped, slim white jeans that sit a couple of inches above my ankle to make the outfit pop.

Tuck in or Out? I have seen this eyelet tunic top tucked in, but it doesn’t do it justice.  I like worn-out slim jeans to get the most flattering wide over narrow look.

Accessories are easy. Eyelets always look lovely with a big straw bag. This one has some yellow embroidery, which ties everything together.  Gold hoops, wood bead bracelets, and these cool white sunglasses also have a fun summer vibe.
